Good grief. I mean, I know it’s OPRAH but could she look any more sloppy??? *runs for cover*

  • Yellek

I wonder what’s so difficult about putting on a normal pair of shoes…

  • Laura Baumgardner

If I were Oprah, I’d wear slippers everywhere.

  • makeawish2468

    cute slippers though.

  • Dee

in love with those happy frog face slippers lol

  • Rashmi

Can someone ID the Sunglasses? I really like it but want to know which brand it is? thank you.

  • jaywan

i don’t care about the slippers but i do care about her celine? isn’t it over stuffed? :(

  • MsJPar

her slippers are only meant to be worn around the house. why is she wearing it out in public? the slippers take away the attention that the Celine should be getting.

  • Dana

You know what, she’s worked really hard the past few decades, so wear your froggy slippers anytime and anywhere O!

  • pe.riche.

I highly doubt Oprah was walking the streets of New York. The woman is a billionaire. She has people to walk for her.

  • pixiegirlie

I’m not a O fan but I’m surprised by all the slipper hate. Seriously this lady has worked her butt off for YEARS and is extremely charitable, give the lady a break. She has earned the right to wear whatever the heck she wants whenever she wants! Her celine looks well loved and used whats wrong with that? God forbid a celeb actually use something more than once, apparently that’s a major fashion crime?!?

  • anon

that celine bag looks so terrible and weathered.

  • Aaron T

She’s wearing those slippers as a show of solidarity for her friend Robin Roberts who is recovering from a bone marrow transplant. All the Good Morning America anchors were wearing them that day to support Robin.

No disrespect but some of these comments come across as being beyond shallow. Oprah’s work ethic and rise to the top is nothing short of inspirational, she’s earned the right to dress as she pleases. If she chooses to support her friend by wearing odd slippers, or dares to not coddle a purse it is her prerogative.

    • shueaddict

thank you for clearing that out. I thought there was an intelligent reason for this. GO, O!!!

NOW i get it! There’s a section on here dedicated to ‘tabloid gossip’! Will ‘sidestep’ in future!

  • Rashida

She made a really beautiful bag really basic…

I sincerely doubt that Oprah was “walking around NYC in slippers.” She probably walked from the limo to the stage door. I know that this is a fashion blog, but don’t journalistic standards apply here, anyway? They used to.

I’m going to be direct: I don’t like the style or tone of your writing. I think you need further training. And I sincerely hope that the Purse Blog is not going the snarky, trashy way of other style blogs such as The Cut. If so, I’m going to have to stop reading it.

I love Oprah for anything she had done until today, all the charities, all her good willing. I admire Oprah with anything she wears (although i admire her Celine taste, its a plus).

  • YeraniKM

To everyone who took such offense…RELAX! Oprah is not coming a knock g on your door to give you a free car just cause you ran to her defense on this blog! They didn’t say anything that wasn’t true…just because she’s a “billionaire” doesn’t mean she’s not a person, a person who makes fashion mistakes just like the rest of use non-billionaires! SMH!

  • elle

Come on. We’re talking about Oprah Winfrey. Oprah can do whatever she wants. Fabulous bag, though.
