With the arrival of spring comes the beginning of wedding season, something I look forward to every year. It’s so special to be able to take part in the celebration of love between close friends and family, and there is nothing I love more than being a guest on a couple’s big day. From the moment the bride makes her grand entrance and walks down the aisle, to the tossing of the bouquet at the end of the night, I truly love it all. Call me a hopeless romantic, but I believe that there are few things in this world that are as meaningful as marriage, and being in the presence of a couple taking their vows is something I have always found happiness in. The vows and ceremonies are emotional, but I love the party aspect of a good wedding too. Having the opportunity to socialize, eat delicious food, and dance with a big group of people? Sign me up!
This year I am lucky to have multiple weddings in the pipeline since many of my closest friends are getting married. I am so excited to celebrate this milestone in their relationships, and with a fridge covered in a solid collection of save the dates, I’m already thinking ahead to what I plan on wearing to each one. Dressing for a wedding can be a hard balance to strike, and as a guest I usually try to remain relatively modest with my fashion choices by selecting demure pieces. I typically wear an understated, neutral colored dress with a stylish bag as my wedding uniform. I will usually try to get the inside scoop on what color the bridesmaids will be wearing as well to avoid showing up in a color that is similar to the wedding theme colors. There is nothing worse in my opinion than dressing in something that shouts “look at me” at a wedding, the point of the day is to admire the bride, not be most fashionably dressed (unless you are attending a royal wedding, in which case I say good for you and please dress as over the top as you wish).
Whether the wedding you’re attending is on a beach, at a vineyard, in a place of worship, or in a barn, the bags I’ve picked will be the perfect wedding date for you to take with you as you celebrate the union of the people closest to you!
