I Want to Add a Caterina Bertini Bag to My Collection

Straw bags are perfect for spring and this designer has some amazing options

Spring is officially around the corner and I am seriously ready for it. We had a relatively mild winter here in Washington, DC, but I’m still more than ready to retire my boots, wools, and heavy textures for the season and transition my wardrobe to my lighter fabrics and airy prints. With temperatures already reaching the high 60s here, it’s easy to transition into the warmer season.

I’ve been looking for easy and budget friendly ways to update my handbag collection for spring. I am saving for a Chanel bag for 2020 but would still like to add some new bags to my collection. I have been wanting a basketweave straw bag for years but have never committed to one. Recently my eye has been drawn to Caterina Bertini straw bags, I can’t seem to get them out of my mind. The best part? The price point. A well made, chic bag that comes with a reasonable price tag? Yep, I’m interested.

I’m a sucker for a brand with a rich history, and after learning more about Caterina Bertini and the Bertini brand, I am even more smitten with the designs. The Bertini company originally began as straw hat designers nearly 100 years ago in 1925. The company has been continuously family owned throughout the years, and is now at the helm of Caterina, the original owner’s granddaughter. The brand continues to pull inspiration from their vintage designs, blending history with a fresh perspective.

This spring I am looking forward to wearing a straw bag with floral dresses and I am especially loving the woven shoulder bag from Caterina Bertini. I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite designs from the brand. The price point is so amazing that I might even buy two! Do you have a favorite?
