A New York Color Story With Senreve

Our favorite bags meet some of our favorite NYC moments to make one perfect color story

It’s no secret that all of us here at PurseBlog have a thing for Senreve. The bags are chic and stylish yet functional and practical, and all at an affordable price. We’ve written about many of Senreve’s bags before, as they offer a few different shapes to suit many different needs, but we wanted to have a little fun with them this time around, and so we took some of our favorite bags from the brand to some of our favorite places around New York City to create a beautiful and fun color story. Senreve’s bags are sleek and classic—they’ll take you from season to season, and with so many stunning color options it can be hard to pick just one, but lucky for us, we didn’t have to. Senreve sent us a rainbow of colors and we had fun creating beautiful moments around NYC.

One of my favorite shapes from Senreve is the ever-popular Maestra. I personally own a Mini Maestra and absolutely love it. Full disclosure here—Senreve generously gifted me an ice blue Mini Maestra back in the spring and if you follow us on Instagram you’ve likely seen me out and about with her in tow all summer long! I’ve even gotten my roommate on the Senreve train too, and I’ve happily let her borrow my Mini Maestra.

I adore my Mini Maestra, and though it’s the perfect size for me—the original Maestra was just too large—I was excited to learn that Senreve recently added a midi size to the lineup. As goldie locks herself once said, there’s a Maestra that’s “just right'” for everyone. One of the reasons that I adore the Maestra most—size factor aside, because this goes for all three sizes—is the fact that it can be worn so many ways. I would say that I teeter back and fourth between wearing this as a backpack, or carrying it like a top-handle bag most, but it can also be worn as a shoulder bag, or worn crossbody. The straps are completely adjustable, and it works for all shapes and sizes. My roommate and I are the perfect example of this—I’m 5’9 and she’s 5’1, yet my mini works for both of us.

Inside there are multiple pockets, from a zippered compartment to multiple slit pockets in various sizes. You can read a more in-depth review of the Maestra here, but if you’re looking for a bag that does it all, then the Maestra is one to consider. It’s crazy-functional, and one of my favorite features is the small pocket on the back exterior of the bag. For the girl-on-the-go, this feature is almost essential. I can’t say enough great things about this bag, and of all the Senreve bags this is the one I’ve used the most and can personally tell you all how simply amazing it really is.

The Maestra comes in three sizes, Mini, Midi and the the largest—simply called the Maestra. Each size comes in a wide array of colors and leathers. The mimosa leather has a long-grain, bark-like finish, which makes the bag slightly stiffer than the pebbled, which is shown in both the tangerine mini we shot as well as the ice blue mini—shown below—that I own. Recently, Senreve introduced a smooth leather version in tan called smooth latte, which has more of a soft buttery finish according to Senreve’s website as we’ve yet to get a hold of one in person.

Another super functional, yet equally fabulous bag from Senreve is the Crossbody Bag, which can also be worn multiple ways. The bag can be carried sans strap as a clutch, or it can be worn using the chain strap, which works either singled or doubled. For a more casual, daytime look, you can affix the matching leather strap, and I like it this way the most with jeans, a tee and sneakers. Once again, there are multiple color options so this bags works great to create a pop to your simple jeans and tee look.

The lines on this bag are super sleek and pristine, and it’s different from a lot of other crossbody bags out there right now, which also makes it super interesting and buzz-worthy. Like the Maestra, the Crossbody comes in both pebbled leather and mimosa leather. It’s a great alternative to the mini-bags of the moment, as the multiple compartments mean you can carry a lot more than you might think, and once again Senreve has listened to my girl on the move cries and the Crossbody Bag also features my favorite back slit pocket. Another fun feature of the Crossbody bag is the bracelet pouch which is removable and interchangeable. Senreve has imagined it all when it comes to this bag, and all of its bags for that matter. With new leathers and shapes being introduced, Senreve has grown and expanded in its short life and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
