Navy blue is one of the handbag world’s most underrated colors. In other areas of the fashion world, navy has remained the go-to color-but-neutral, but for reasons unbeknownst to us, it’s not an incredibly popular choice when it comes to bags.
There was an old rule about not wearing black and navy together that likely contributed to navy’s obsolescence (the same used to be said about brown and black), but we all know that fashion rules are a thing of the past. In fact, black and navy is one of the chicest color combos there is. In many ways, it also reads as a monochromatic look—another surefire way to look effortlessly put together.
Over the past couple of seasons, and particularly this fall, we’ve seen more and more brands adding navy bags to their lineups, and we couldn’t be more intrigued. A navy bag works well in most people’s wardrobes. It pairs perfectly with black but also shades of grey, off-white, and tan. Below, we’ve rounded up well over a dozen of our favorites. Are you in need of navy?
Navy is my favourite colour – I’ll take all of these please 😍
Love a dark navy that almost looks black!!!
I do love a good navy bag, but I still love a good black one as well 🙂
Sometimes I get really wild and wear both colors–together! 😅
I love navy and black together 🖤💙👏🏻👏🏻
I’m wild and do the same; however, there is a certain “fashionista” elegance pairing the two colors.
Jeans are pretty much a neutral, so a navy bag makes perfect sense to me
Navy is great! Although personally, I’ll never pair a navy bag with a black ensemble. Blue, yes—but not a shade that’s too dark.
No, it’s not. But it’s a good color nonetheless.
