This is the time of year I start to become a little bit distressed about the approaching end of summer. When I lived in Georgia, I never really understood why broader American culture was so obsessed with Labor Day—it stays warm in Atlanta well into October, and when pools and beaches close isn't predicated on national holidays. Now that I live in Brooklyn, I understand it totally: Labor Day means something.
In fashion, it often means we're approaching the dead of winter, as far as discounting goes—sale season is long gone, and it won't come again until the holidays. Because this is my job and I take it very seriously, though, I've committed to bringing you the best Friday morning bag deals no matter the weather, and today, I've found a dozen pretty solid options, if I do say so myself.
