Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from the whole PurseBlog staff! Stay warm, safe and out of trouble! And don’t overdo the tasty treats like I did last night…

I can’t help it; I’ve been itching to write about this Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mini Bag ever since I saw it on the Rebecca Minkoff Flash Sale. Now I’ve just been staring at it on Shopbop, day in and day out, unable to tear my eyes away from that utterly dreamy, deep prussian blue. It’s just such a regal color.

And, it may be strange for me to say, but I love when small things have a dignified air. Take for example Pomeranians. It’s a digression from bags, but these tiny dogs think they’re massively powerful, and aren’t afraid to bark up the big dogs. In the same way, this Mini Mini packs a punch in a shade fit for royalty. Plus this itty bag has all the same fun qualities in any Rebecca Minkoff Bag- smooth leather, bright hardware, and a color that pops, besides that recognizable little flap. (more…)

RHOA Reunion

Last night’s Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion wasn’t the rolling boil that we’re all used to from our motley crew of drama queens – it was more of a slow, fastidious burn that didn’t quite heat all the way up until the cooking was almost done.

Because I’m a blogger, I’m blessed/cursed with copious reading time that allows me to wander about the internet and find interesting tidbits of information about various and sundry reality TV stars that perhaps those with real jobs wouldn’t have the time to suss out. And, according to Kim’s ex-publicist’s Twitter account (lord, help me), our housewives were tight-lipped on purpose.

The rumor goes that Real Housewives of Atlanta is going into syndication, but that the cast is not going to receive any extra compensation from syndicated airings of the show. So they’re pissed, and they sat at the reunion for eight hours and were mostly civil and reasonable, in order to punish King Gay Andy Cohen and the rest of the folks at Bravo. So what did they reveal? I think you know where to click to answer that question. (more…)

LAI Patent Pamela Top Handle

There are few things more glamorous than a really great patent bag. Because of the overwhelming shininess, it can be hard to create one that’s not either tacky or mumsy, but when it happens, it’s beautiful. Which is exactly what the LAI Patent Pamela Top Handle is. The success or failure of a patent bag rests mainly on two features: color and shape. Luckily, this bag hits them both out of the park. (more…)

Now lookie at what we have here. Hmmm. There is something that I kind of like about it but I can’t quite put my finger on. Well, first of all, I have yet to own a red handbag. I realize I probably should at least have a red clutch, but that isn’t the case. I am trying to diversify my handbag collection and I am pretty sure a red handbag is much needed. So will a Kate Spade bag be one to break into my collection? Maybe! (more…)

YSL vs Hobo International

With so many handbags on the market, there are always options that can give you a look you love for less. Let’s face it, we don’t all have endless handbag budgets all the time. We have already given you a studded clutch option for less and a Chanel option for less. Now it is time to give you a Leather Hobo Look for Less. (more…)

Get your sparkle on this fall. It seems Swarovski crystals are one of the fiercest trends of the season. With the influence of Swarovski crystals by Balmain on everything from boots, to handbags and jeans, the tiny bits of Austrian sparkle are not just for jewelry any more. We love a bit of glitz now and then and all taken in moderation. (more…)

Jimmy Choo Project PEP Glazed Canvas Tote

Back in June, we found out that Jimmy Choo was going to be releasing a line this fall in conjunction with Elton John’s AIDS charity, and now the first vestiges of that limited edition line are making their way to market for pre-order. Everything from flip-flops to clutches will be available, but the centerpiece of the effort is the Jimmy Choo Project PEP Glazed Canvas Tote. (more…)

Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha Classic Q Shoulder Bag

No kidding: I’m approximately a half second away from ordering the Marc by Marc Jacobs Natasha Classic Q Shoulder Bag on Net-a-Porter. I’m barely restraining myself. The color? Beautiful. The leather? Soft. The size? Functional. The price? Reasonable. (more…)

While we very rarely do a review on the very same exact bag more than once, there are exceptions to every rule. It’s always fun to revisit a previously covered bag that is just a bit different. There are just some bags out there that are worth a revisit. The Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Q Drawstringy Leather Bag is a gorgeous bag. My love for this bag started when Amanda wrote about it a couple weeks ago. My love continued to grow when I actually saw the bag in person and my love just exploded when I saw that this bag is available in an unbelievable color called grape juice! (more…)

Hmmm, hot pink. What do you think of a hot pink handbag? Personally, I’m not a fan of hot pink on huge bags, but on smaller bags, sure why not?! It is always nice to add a bit of flash and spice to an outfit. The Rebecca Minkoff Exclusive 3-Zip Morning After Clutch is the kind of hot pink bag I am sure I would be able to rock. I am not exactly sure which outfit I would carry it with, but you better believe any black or gray outfit would be fabulous! (more…)
