Henry Cuir Fish Key Ring

It truly is all about the accessories. Henry David Thoreau may have said “Simplify, simplify, simplify” but Megs at PurseBlog says “Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize”. You want to be posh in today’s world, then it is all about the accessories. Recently Vlad and I both indulged in new Bottega Veneta Key Rings, his a croc elephant … Read more

Hermes in Venice, Italy

hermes venice italy

A few steps away from Louis Vuitton was the Hermes Venice, Italy store. While my Hermes collection merely contains a handful of scarves, Twilly’s, and a beautiful bracelet, I am on the hunt for a Birkin. The Hermes store in Venice is quaint, but still packs a big punch. Downstairs are all of the scarves, bracelets, and small goods, while upstairs there was clothing and of course, glorious bags. A lovely SA showed me around and delighted my arm with a Blue Jean Hermes Lindy, which I had a really hard time passing up. The only reason I opted not for the Lindy was for the sheer fact that I am anxiously waiting for a Hermes Blue Jean Birkin with Palladium Hardware. Insert drool here. A handful of Kelly’s were spotted here and there which still made my heart skip a few beats. Vlad stood nearby nervously twitching and hoping that I would not give in and/or try to make him give in. We left empty handed, but still whole-heartedly satisfied. In the store front window, a breathtaking Hermes Kelly in Orange Swift tantalized every passerbys eyes. Hopefully, next time I am in Venice, I can walk into Hermes with my own Birkin in hand.

Jimmy Choo Rio Oversize Clutch

Jimmy Choo Rio Oversize Clutch If we were to play the word association game, the term ‘Jimmy Choo’ would most likely warrant the response, ‘Shoes!’. Even being a handbag addict, you would still most likely say shoes, I know I would. But Jimmy Choo is trying to be a brand known for a bit of diversity; stunning shoes and stunning bags. It can be done, but the question is, are they doing it? I have no problem telling the folks behind Jimmy Choo that it is perfectly fine to keep a good thing going by slightly re-inventing it. The Ramona has been a hit along with the recent addition of the Foldover Clutch. A little bit of this and that, and poof, you have the Jimmy Choo Rio Oversize Clutch which bears a resemblance to its big sister, Ramona. This clutch which can also be used as a small shoulder/evening bag is designed with calf leather which is cinched with leather straps through silver rings. The chain link strap is detachable. Two pockets on the inside along with suede lining are found on the inside. The measurements are large, 16½”W X 9½”H X 3½”D, but perfect for the gal who carries a bit. What I am stumped about is the price. Sure I will splurge $550 for a pair of Choo shoes, but ask me to pay $1400 for a Choo clutch and I cringe. I’d opt for the 2.5 Choo’s that I could buy, but the clutch is still cute, just not that cute. Pre-order at Saks for $1395.

MARC by Marc Jacobs Pleated Handbag

While we all have different budgets, in the world of designer handbags, a handbag under $700 seems overly reasonable to me. I am sitting here praising this leather bag so much and still a little in shock and awe that it is indeed Marc Jacobs, from the cheaper line, MARC. Typically from MARC we see … Read more

Louis Vuitton in Venice Italy

Louis Vuitton Venice Italy

Finally back in the swing of things, Vlad and I wanted to share a little bit of our Italian vacation with all of you. Between Milan, Venice, and Florence, I must admit that my favorite city was indeed Venice. It may have been the 5 Star hotel or the gorgeous people, the stunning weather or the breeze of the water, the delectable food or just spending time in an amazing place with amazing people. Either way, Venice topped my list as my favorite city. Situated a mere few hundred feet from Piazza San Marco, the Louis Vuitton Venice location boasted a stunning location in a quaint three floor layout. Vlad was tempted to buy a pair of shoes, but decided to pass and splurge on Tod’s shoes instead, while I made my way up the spiral staircase to check out some gorgeous travel gear and the LV Onatah GM. The Onatah line sports supple calfskin leather which is dyed and then softened by being drummed. The LV monogram is intricately perforated into the bag. Vlad and I really fell in love with this Louis Vuitton location, but found better bags at other designer stores while in Venice. Stay tuned for more of our trip in the upcoming days! As always, shop for authentic Louis Vuitton via eLuxury.
