    Wow! I love seeing the random contents of her bag strewn about like that in pic #2. That’s so real life-I always thought some of these ladies featured on WIHB had purses that were a little too neat to be believable. I’ve always loved the KateSpade brand, I just hate their logo plates.

    I really liked this post because I can read her words. The bag is a pretty color, and I like that she has her stuff just thrown on the table like in real life.
    You should do one of the commenters for What’s in Her Bag ever so often. I would like to see what some of the regulars have in their bag.

    Ack, my eyes! I couldn’t even read the white on orange. Maybe this will get republished so I can read it. :) Enjoyed seeing the contents of her purse though. Bixby is adorable!

    On a side note I have the most amazing brooch from Kate Spade and it is a peacock with the most amazing jewel tone stones…….I love her color palette……I still use a wallet from her from 2001!

    For those of us who live in the sticks and who have never been to NYC, what does it mean to be uptown with downtown sensibilities? This is a sincere question. I honestly don’t know what it means.

      i’m glad you asked! by referring to kate spade new york as an “uptown brand with a downtown sensibility,” i’m talking about the fun juxtaposition in our aesthetic. for uptown, think the refined look of audrey hepburn in “breakfast at tiffany’s,” mixed with the casual cool of the girls in au revoir simone.

    Yay Kate Spade ! What a fun designer. Her handbags (and clothes, accessories, almost everything really) make me smile .

    And, I did not mind the orange background. In fact, I could read the handwriting! That is not always the case, unfortunately. So, I have to ask you: Can you please ask the future WIHB people, to consider their handwriting? Actually, I generally like the handwriting, it gives the WIHB feature a much more personal touch – but come on, people have to be able to read it.
