I like today. First of all, I like today because it’s the last day of work before I get a four-day weekend, but I also like today because we get to have all our Wednesday fun AND our Friday fun, all in the same eight-hour span. I’ve been counting down the days for the 4th of July long weekend for weeks now. Not only is it a long weekend, but I am heading on a beach vacation, too! With summer in full swing and the sun shining bright, my accessories have become increasingly more colorful as the days go by. I have a pretty extensive collection of bracelets that I’ve accumulated from travels, friends and music festivals over the years, but my problem has always been they’re too hard to take on and off. Most of the time I like to pair my bracelets with a more casual day look and take them off as night time rolls around, but lately, some of the tougher ones tend to get taken off and never put back on. I need an exfoliation. I’m not talking about my face, either – I’m talking a full body sort of situation. I’ve been to the beach two weekends in a row, and not only did I get a little sunburned that first weekend, but the amount of aloe, lidocaine and sunscreen that my skin has seen since then makes me feel like one giant clogged poor. (And a questionably moisturized one at that.) I’m going to be picking up a tub of the Caudalie Divine Scrub on the way home today – not only does the scrub have brown sugar to exfoliate, but that sugar is packed in a mix of four natural oils that I anticipate will make my skin feel baby soft.
