Adriana Castro Wallet in Blue Crocodile
Lately I have found myself leaving the house with my wallet only.
This wallet is winking at all of us for a reason. The price tag is too good to be true, even if this is not your everyday wallet. Keep winking Marc by Marc Jacobs Pouch Pocket Wallet, because your two pouch pockets and inside sections show that you mean business. On the inside there is a zip fastening section for coins, a section for cards, and a place for notes. The outside pockets give off the wink effect with one sporting a zip fastening while the other sports a press stud fastening. The gold metallic leather is accented with gold hardware. Cheap and cute, via Net A Porter for $188.
If you buy a well-made wallet it will last for years. If you are like many people out there, you may think that a wallet over $500 is way over priced. But trust me, many of these expensive wallets are crafted meticulously, with sturdy leather and stitching, to keep the wallet holding its shape for years to come. I still am using my Christian Dior wallet that the lovely Vlad bought me, but I am thinking it is time for a new wallet, just because I need a change (not because I actually need a new wallet). Don’t let the lush leather Bottega Veneta uses fool you. Just because the leather is soft and buttery does not mean that their bags and wallets loose shape easily. Bottega Veneta has figured out the perfect implementation of weaving soft leather while keeping the shape of the product as seen on the Bottega Veneta Woven Leather Wallet. A press stud fastening tab opens to reveal the inside; containing a section for notes and cards and a coin pocket. Buy through Net A Porter for $630.

Oh the 80’s. A time of neon colors, MC Hammer pants, leg warmers, big hair, Rubik’s Cubes, and fingerless gloves. Sure it is fun to dress up for a party (key words here are dress up and party) in neon, but to carry it on a day to day basis is a fashion don’t. I really want to meet with Fendi and ask what in the hell is going on with the latest designs. They are laughable to say the least. After the fug that was the Spy, there are now three neon metallic wallets. The Fendi Neon Buckle Wallet is available in the primary colors, red, yellow/orange, and blue, in Zucca print metallic neon coated leather. Why was this done? Somebody help Fendi, ASAP. There is a club nearby that has 80’s night, and a wallet like this would be the perfect accessory for that one night, but other than that I can not imagine pulling this fugly thing out of my handbag. I would turn red with embarrassment and wish to melt away. $395 at eLuxury available in blue, yellow/orange, and red.
I’m the person who carries her wallet as a clutch many times. So it does matter what my wallet looks like, because it is not hidden in my bag, but out visiting the world. Vlad treated me with a stunning Christian Dior wallet, which still looks like new, but I think it may be time to add another wallet to the collection. Chunky hardware and funky leather straps and rings defines the Chloe Betty Leather Wallet. Chloe leather is known to be ulta-durable and even heavy, but that is perfect for a wallet. Petrol leather, a blue color, makes this wallet chic while the gold and silver hardware is typical Chloe style. On the inside you will find space for notes and cards and on the outside you will find a zip fastening pocket. Kinda funky and cute: $435 via Net-A-Porter.
A touch of gold hardware upon splashes of lush red copper racer watersnake, and you have yourself a hot clutch/wallet. Not precisely sure if this chain purse is designated to be a wallet or a clutch or a whatever, but if you own the Luella Mama Key Chain Purse I would not hide it inside of your handbag. This is a hot mama bag, the color is radiating and such an attention grabber, especially on this exotic, and the gold key chain on front adds a playful touch. There a pouch pocket smack dab in the front is not taking away from the purse, but adds a nice touch. Inside you will find black lining and a section for cards, coins and notes. 8.5″ x 4.5″ x 2″, toss this babe right in your hand, and you have a winner. Through Net-A-Porter for $535.
The posh mom of two is expecting her next baby. I have always loved this Pretty Woman. She sports her great lips, stunning hair, and huge smile everywhere she goes. While sporting her tiny baby bump, Julia Roberts was seen sporting a chic wallet. To be 100% honest with you, I merely have an inkling of an idea who the designer may be. So while I am asking you to play Name that Bag, it is also to see if any of you are on top of this wallet. This tan wallet features intricate designs and a push lock compartment. Help me out, let’s start Monday off with Name that Bag!
As you are reading this I am most likely not enjoying my trans-Atlantic flight back to the states. The whole being tall, not having much leg room, being allergic to most foods they serve, thing really is no fun. I am a big fan of choosing which movie I want to watch, but my last plane did not have the option. The only thing keeping me happy on the flight will be knowing that I am getting a great meal once I get back to Ft. Lauderdale and knowing that I am brining home the most beautiful handbag from Bottega Veneta. So I have a slight obsession with BV right now (you will see why when you see my new bag). I caught a beautiful wallet on sale via NAP, and figured I must share the good news. The Bottega Veneta Suede Continental Wallet is a stunning rendition, especially for fall and winter, of anthracite suede with intrecciato woven leather and a flap front. A simple yet stunning amber enamel clasp fastening is secure on the front flap and the inside features a coin section and credit card slots. I’d carry this as a clutch too, making sure that my hands were quite clean first (since suede does tend to get dirty quickly). Nab this while it is still there: via Net A Porter for $472.
When I am on the run, my wallet is used as a clutch. I run into the store with it and without the hassle of my handbag getting in the way (never leave your handbag in your car in any sort of plain view, it will be snatched!). Lucky for my I have a stunning black Dior Wallet that has held up amazingly well for 2.5 years now. But I am on the look for another wallet, a wallet that is simply irresistible such as the Bottega Veneta Intrecciato Leather Wallet. Signature weaving takes part in this brown leather wallet with exquisite and ornate gold chain detailing. There is a press stud closure and a zip fastening section for coins (which my current wallet is lacking) and a section for your coveted credit cards and notes. Seeing that this is Bottega Veneta, you will have no speculations that this bag is anything less than the best. Via Net-A-Porter for $720.
Many men love cars but not handbags, man bags, etc. My dad could care less about his wallet or briefcase, as long as they carry his things and do not completely break apart and lose his important papers. Vlad has transformed to appreciating good handbags and loving LV Man Bags. Deep down though, the passion many men have for cars is undeniably larger than their passion for handbags (any of you not like this, let me know!!). This is why Paul Smith designs with men in mind. The Mini Cooper is a small car, fun and sporty, but not the typical man car; that is until it was seen in The Italian Job. What man after that movie did not want a small car to drive down subways and swerve in and our around town? Hell, even I did. The Paul Smith iconic striped Mini Cooper hits home for the man who loves dreaming of speed, heists, and driving down subways and sidewalks. I love the Paul Smith Mini Car Billfold because it is all work on the outside with black leather, and all play on the inside with the striped Mini Copper image. Different than anything you would see, the inside will be great for the inner boy inside your man (come on, they all still have it) and still has a folded bill pocket, two slot pockets, and eight card slots. Measurements are 4.25″ x 3.7″ x 0.7″ and this wallet is perfect for the guy who loves cars. Via eLuxury for $285.
I find one of the biggest fashion faux pas to be ordinary designs that make people say ‘Ehhhh’. Even if you make a fashion atrocity, if you did so by going out on a limb and adding bells, whistles, horns, and all that shebang, at least you were trying to be bold and different. If you make a hit handbag by combining simplicity and elegance then props to you. If you just end up ordinary, then you have been nothing but safe and plain which is a major downer in my opinion. This is the feeling I get when looking at the Marc Jacobs Quilted Leather Wallet. Sure it is not awful, but it is not great either. It is simple and safe. Safe this time is not good enough. The more I look at the black quilted leather with visible white stitching I begin to even find it fugly. There is an embossed logo on the front with gold studs on either side, the closure is a press stud fastening, and on the inside there are zip fastening sections for coins credit cards. All in all, this wallet merely makes me shrug. Via Net-A-Porter for $425.
I was a fan of you from the start. Your track suits were perfect to lounge in and super comfy. Not to mention having fitted casual pants was amazing for my rear assets. I watched the Juicy Track suit trend explode, which is of course great for you, but became a bit of an overstated suburbia house wife trend. Still, you were doing ok. Then came your handbags. Yikes. Most are a struggle with a few ok’s in there. Now I see your ‘new season’ fug, the Juicy Couture Velour Wallet which resembles a cheap steam press on logo along with a crown. Gag. Not letting this one go, Juicy added a quirky ‘Mad money’ slogan by the coin section which is cute enough but really does not make up for the rest of the bag. Shape, size, color, materials, and the theme are all wrong. Granted this wallet is only $65 via Net-A-Porter, but I’d rather save that money to pay for a zipper of a seriously hot bag. Please Juicy, go back to the basics, it makes life easier.
