Valentino Fall 2013 Handbags (3)

At this point, most handbag lovers know what to expect from Valentino: classic femininity, but not in a way that’s saccharine or old-fashioned. There’s definite modernity to Valentino’s Fall 2013 handbags in particular, which are currently available for pre-order at Moda Operandi. There, you’ll find no sweet pastels or floral motifs, which have at times characterized the brand’s popular bags. Instead, Valentino has pared things down, and the results are quite interesting.

The stars of the line are the large work totes, some of which have a leather-on-leather filagree pattern, others of which feature studs at their corners in a nod to the Rockstud line. There’s a simplicity of form to these bags that’s undeniably appealing, and although I don’t personally feel the same pull for the line’s day clutches with leather hand slips (which are customizable with your initials), they’re a thoroughly modern option for sure. Check out our favorites below or shop the full lineup at Moda Operandi through March 24.

I absolutely love the Vitello Double Handle Bag….in blue or black. I think all of the bags are pretty great but this is the one that I would purchase. Valentino manages to make this bag minimal but edgy…beautiful leather for certain…. the only issue that it will not be out for months…and I want it now!
