Today is the day of LV here. We started off on a high note with the smash hit Louis Vuitton Aumoniere Satin Multicolore but we unfortunately must end on a low note with with Louis Vuitton Handbags Spring 2007. Something went horribly wrong when Marc Jacobs sent out the Louis Vuitton Spring 2007 line this past week in Paris. Actually the clothes themselves showed off beautiful layers along with matte colors. But the handbags just had so much going on it looked like an art project from a kindergartener. I hate to hate this much, but I just can’t seem to help it- these bags are just a major no for me. Marc did end the show with a sexy white shirt that read “LV-OE,” it is just too bad I did not “LV-OE” the handbags. TACKY!

Those handbags remind me of Mugatu’s “DERELICT” line in Zoolander! They look like they are put together from scratch with left overs! I usually love LV but this line certainly doesn’t do it for me…
OMG, these are just plain awful. What were they thinking? The lat bag looks like it’s adorned with giant Life Savers. And not in a good way. Well, I guess I’ll be saving some money this spring!
The first few bags look like those Chinese/Asian people groceries bag or airport overweight bag or nite market bag. Its just now with a tag of LV. Man, this is just blur me out … MJ is drunk!

Looks like they’ve run out of material, had to salvage whatever it is left that they had and took apart some of the other bags and pieced them together to make a new one!!
they’re not just tacky… they deserve to be BURNT!! I think the ashes of what’s left of the bags after burning will look even more appealing than what we have here!!
I must say, Marc Jacobs has certainly taken the term “deconstructed” to a whole new level…

When i first saw the collection on style.com i thought that it looked crass/tacky and appalling. The only idea that came to me as to why Marc did this was to appease his Japanese/Chinese market who i’d love to hear what they think. but it wasn’t just the bags that were dissapointments. did anyone see those awful shoes, the brassy golden colours that stood out like a dane on a venetian beach. Marc better get some better bags in next season or i don’t think i can respect LV (or HellV) much longer.

I love Louis, but this collection ranks up there with pulling teeth for me… it’s cruel. Normally, Marc Jacobs is a genius, but he must have had a hangover when he designed some of the bags from this collection.
i think they are just making it harder to copy the bags when really the bags already look sloppy,they look silly

Puhleeze…this collection is not appealing at all!! I too, will be saving moolah. They remind me of the Coach patchwork style. I have been a Louis lover for over 20+ years.
MJ needs to bring back the unique sophisticated style they are known for. And get rid of this silly, cheap look and no where near elegant stuff that he has been coming out with.

Someone please explain what an Asian grocery bag looks like – I just know of the red plastic bags.
The taupe/grayish bag at the very bottom left is okay except it looks like cheap plastic.
The gray mixed denim bag at the top right is okay but it doesn’t look tailored. It looks more like someone just got slap happy with the glue gun.
I like the gradients of color on the dark brown bag, but it has too much of the cheap plastic look. This may have looked better if they had combined it with a matte leather look.
The very first bag (left) and the very last bag (right) are hideous. I just can;t see myself with those creations esp topped off with those garrishly colored chains.
