Hi all, what can i say…i just bought the deeper red (2 doll) bag from selfridges (uk) i paid £133.00 (reduced from £465.00)…i love it!! I also bought the small clutch/make-up pouch reduced to £45.00 (was £150.00) they are so well made and very very high quality-im undecided should i use them or put them away because they are limited collector pieces!!!

Well, since these are anniversary bags, the point is NOT to sell more, but to promote the Lanvin brand. By reducing prices and selling more, they would be diluting their name and that’s just not happening. When you buy Lanvin, you buy the brand. While it is clear that this bag may be worth $50 at the most, I am not surprised that it is priced at $800 (nor would I ever pay half that price of a fabric bag). Besides, nobody sees Chanel or Louis Vuitton lowering prices.

They are so cute. If they are on sale i will buy it… Just wait for sale… Last week i was in Hongkong, is not available yet on display.

When I saw the bags I thought they were really cute too – great gifts. But the price is exorbitantly high for a canvas bag, which is pretty sad because I think they could sell so many more if they priced the bags more reasonably.

No “complaint” just a comment.
I thought that these bags were so cute. I was really ready to shell out no more than $50 for the bag since it is canvas. However, I was appalled to see that it’s $800. Really? For canvas. I guess that we won’t see much of this bag. The customers who can afford this bag won’t buy it because you can get a fabulous leather bag cheaper. The consumer who would buy it can’t afford it.
It’s too bad that Lanvin won’t sell these bags. They are so cute.

I couldn’t agree more with all of the comments. It is supposed to be an anniversary, to me that would mean lowering their price of the bag as a thank you to its customers. Instead they price it at $800, I make fabric bags all the time for under $20 of material. There is no way this bag should be priced that much, I guess it’s a celebration for Lanvin’s pockets not its customers.
