Ever see a bag and know immediately that it’s one that you would use constantly and incorporate into your wardrobe effortlessly? Like its existence is just a little bit of handbag kismet that the Powers That Be most surely intended just for you? A match made in proverbial handbag heaven?
That’s exactly what the Be&D Woodstock Shopper Bag is for me. Surely they didn’t have me in mind when they designed it, but I’m going to satisfy my occasional delusions of grandeur and pretend that they did. And why not? They couldn’t have done any better if they had tried.
I have precious little use in everyday life for bags that I can’t put on my shoulder, and this bag looks like it would be easy and comfortable to tote there all day. I also hate bags with dark lining, although it doesn’t entirely rule out that I’ll buy it, but the tan ultrasuede inside of this tote ensures that I’ll be able to find everything easily, as do the multitude of pockets.
But as with any bag lover, what’s on the outside is what I really care about. The textured leather has a bit of a glimmer to it that is totally luxe, but it’s tempered by the tough color and oversized shiny studs so that it’s not overtly girly. The combination of the two ideas fit my personal style to a T, and the seamed panels and buckles at the gussets provide just the right finishing touches. I would wear this bag in an instant. Buy through Saks for $895.
