As much as I love scoping out great handbags, I also love taking a step back and appreciating the craftsmanship that goes into making the bags. Tod’s handbags, like many other high end designer bags, are known for exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. When you are dropping mega bucks on a bag, you better hope that the bag will withstand the test of time.
The Tod’s Hel.Zip Sacca Hobo is an updated take on a classic Tod’s bag. While I would prefer my Tod’s bag to be made out of leather, there is something unique and eye catching about the nylon and leather trim of this bag. The shoulder strap looks like it would fit perfectly on your shoulder without digging into it or falling off. Plenty of zippers and compartments adorn the bag. But, would you spend this kind of money on a nylon bag? What do you think? Buy through Saks for $950.
What a shame that it’s in nylon and not in leather. In leather and in that colour it would have been a great bag. And at that price – no thank you!
I recently bought a Tod’s G bag in coated canvas, and I love it! It is unique, lightweight, and exquisitely made! Well worth the price!!!
No way I’d EVER pay that kind of money for a nylon bag…I still have trouble paying that for a leather bag…unless it’s on sale.
It comes in leather–or at least one very similar I think my black leather one is called helmut zip sacca media or something like that. But it looks A LOT like that bag. Same size front zip same hardware and strap (with extra tab of leather with snaps)
Of course it was more expensive, but. . .you knew that was coming!
I love nylon bags but the price seems a bit steep..well, it is Tod’s after all
I love a good hobo bag. For me, the key is that it’s not too slouchy so that it’s sloppy and hippy-ish. That’s simply because I need a bag that is fun and fashionable but also professional for everyday use. Even though it’s not leather, I’d still buy it knowing I’d have it forever. I’m also a sucker for anything with a front pocket for my Blackberry! Also love the color of this one. I’ve never considered a navy bag…hmmm…:-)
