It has been a while since we have covered Tod’s on Purse Blog. It was not by intention, as we are huge Tod’s fans. The fact of the matter is anytime we view a Tod’s collection we see simple elegance. Every collection continues to bring forth a sophisticated touch that has become ubiquitous with the brand.
Tods D Bag is the highlight of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. This season of items from Tod’s can be summed up by tradition, fine craftsmanship and functionality. This is not the first we have seen of the D-Bag but there are new sizes, colors, and skins. Celeb fans include Diane Kruger, Jennifer Garner, Julianne Moore, Leighton Meester, and Nicole Kidman.
Tods D-Bag Shopping | $1495
The Shopping D-Bag adds a nice twist with the optional shoulder strap. The contrast stitching shows off the sturdy leather and the seams break up the design of the bag. This bag screams classy working woman.
Tods D-Bag Bauletto | $1445
The shape is timeless and classic. A hand held bag should be part of every woman’s wardrobe. Consider the Bauletto as a contender. While the leather version is what we all expect, Tod’s also has an alligator version that has my heart (price is $21,000).

Love the D-Bag Bauletto! I need that one.
Nah… something about the seams on the handle attachment is really unpleasant for me. But the G-bag? Now that one I really like! I think the proportions are much better. InStyle did a great pictorial on it in their 9/09 issue. Lots of colors, leathers, and celebs.

if u want a practical bag but still look nice, clean & elegant, u can always count on tod’s. Luv the d-bag with tht color!
This bag looks sturdy; like it is going to last for a long time. However, it lacks personality-something I wish my bags to have. I already have alligator/crocodile bag(s), so however cute this might be in that leather, I´m not seriously interested.
Its well structured, clean and no-nonsense bag!
But i prefer bags with color and more life preferably.

I am a huge Tod’s fan but not of this D-bag. I checked it IRL and I am definitely not going to add it to my collection. I agree about the handle attachment and I also find annoying the reverse stitching right in the middle. I think it is probably done to match the handles, but it still annoying, as if they have to put together two small pieces of leather because they have problems with measuring and could not find a piece big enough for the bag. Beside, even in a large size, it is too small for me. This season, the G-bag is the real big hit for Tod’s and I totally love that one.
I love the D bag. I love the shape & simplicity. No over the top bling bling that I hate. Just a simple clean classic bag.
I love the Tods D bag, I have 7 in asstd colors, but I don’t have the new style yet, I plan on going to the boutique and checking it out!!! It is definitely one of my FAV. bags!!!
