Fine? Damn fine, to say the least. The New Tod’s Girelli East/West Bag in White Leather is the sexiest plain white bag I’ve seen in a long time. Perhaps only Valextra come close. The gorgeous, Italian made bag goes for 1,200 bucks, which isn’t that bag considering its size and total, undeniable sexiness.

P.S. The Girelli also comes in golden metallic (I’m so over metallic, though) and the funky zebra print. The white is still my undefeated champion.

I’m walking the line with this bag. I am having a very hard time deciding if I like the shape or not. Different, yes, but hot, I’m not sure. The Tod’s Bamboo Black Satin Mini Evening Barrel Bag is a baguette shaped bag made from shiny black satin and generously accented with Swarovski crystal details on the side buckles. Not that I don’t love Swarovski crystal or even black satin, but I just can’t tell if I like how it all comes together on this bag. Other features of the bag include chrome hardware, black fabric lining, and one inside compartment. The bags dimensions are H 2.76″, W 9.45″, and D 2.76″. I think I finally figured out why I am not completely keen on this bag… it reminds me of prom purses. Ha. Anyhow, let me know what you think. The Tods bag is available through Forzieri for $495.

While the Starlight (oh yea, the magical flying horse from Rainbow Bright) was my favorite horse, zebra’s were a close second. I suppose the zebra would actually be my first favorite seeing that Starlight is completely fictional and no matter how much I begged my dad I could never get my own Starlight. So moving on to my other favorite ‘horse’, the zebra, we have the Tod’s Girelli East/West Zebra-Print Pony Bag. I’ve always been a lover of Tod’s and the Girelli model is an alluring shape in my opinion (I have featured it before). Again, let’s all let out a sigh of relief, because this bag is not made of zebra hair, but calf hair (I am actually being quite sarcastic because I sure know that a bad can not be made from zebra/leopard/etc for obvious reasons). Immediately, the shape of this bag draws me in along with the innovative closing technique. To open and close this bag there are polished silver metal magnetic knob closures on each side. There are rolled leather shoulder straps with a 7″ drop or you could opt to use the longer shoulder strap (included!) with a 17.5″ drop. Options are always nice. Open up to find suede lining along with 2 patch pockets and one zip pocket. The dimensions of this black and white striped Tods bag are 16.5″ x 8.5″ x 6.25″. Buy this close cousin of Starlight through eLuxury for $1950.

Yes, I’ve talked about a bag quite similar to this before by Tod’s. But the shape and color of this beauty intrigues me. The Tod’s Carey Grande receives its beauty from the light blue opal textured leather. The tote has double top handles and perfectly comes together with a gathered top with a buckle accessory for closing. Simple elegance at its finest sums up this bag. There is also a signature Tod’s logo charm and an inside pocket with open panels. This bag’s dimensions are 9″H x 16″W x 4″D which places it in the category of not too big not to small- but just right. Buy it via Neiman Marcus for $1100.

And you thought this day of shiny goods was done?! No way, I was just a little slow to get started. I am a huge huge fan of Tod’s. Way back when I remember thinking their bags were too simplistic and no one would know exactly what I was carrying. With quite a bit of time and a little more sophisticated view on fashion, I realize that is part of the appeal of Tod’s bags. I love them. The Tod’s New Girelli East/West Bag is a bag that will last through the ages. Many of us question if metallic bags will remain in style, and I can’t think that a bag like this will go out of style. Made with a golden metallic finish, this textured leather bag is stunningly simple and elegant. My favorite extra to this bag is the flap top closure which is innovatively closed on both sides of the bag by locking ball-snaps. Don’t ask if it would be a pain to get in or out of, because I don’t know- but if any one of you knows I would love to hear what you think! You can opt to carry the bag with the rolled leather handles or there is a detachable leather shoulder strap if you want the bag to hang lower. I love the option, because that way you can wear the bag wherever on your body that you want (hey, I won’t give you a hard time if you wear it on your head or strap it around your waist like a really really big fanny bag ). On the inside you will find textile lining and two open pockets and one zip pocket. While my budget can not afford this beauty at the time, I am going to try to let Vlad’s budget know just how much I love this bag (measurements are 17.25″ x 9″ x 6.5″). Ok so some of us are not Gwen Stefani and cannot pull off wearing red lipstick. Flat out, as much as I’d love to pretend I can, I can’t pull it off. When red lipstick was made, it was not for me. But I am able to pull off some red accessories. Good thing I can because I have kind of fallen for a beautiful red bag (again let me tell myself I can just so I can pretend I will look good carrying this bag). The Tod’s Carey Sacca Grande Tote is a beautiful large size everyday tote made from exquisite grained Italian leather. The shape of the bag is a little bit structured with a nice amount of slouch which is so in style right now. Expect nothing short of extraordinary with the craftsmanship of this bag; between the fine topstitching and the leather belt around the top of the bag, it is the small things that add a divine touch to this bag. Inside you will find an interior magnetic snap closure and fine cotton twill with two additional patch pockets and a zipped leather pouch. I love how Tod’s bags don’t scream out the brand too much to any passerby. Outside you will find a Tod’s logo embossed on a leather patch on side. Like I mentioned earlier, this bag is big enough to be used as an everyday carryall: measuring approximately 15″ x 11″ x 5″. When featuring the Tod’s bag in Raising Helen, I realized that I have not spoken about Tod’s in a while. Shame on me. Tod’s is a timeless classic brand that’s simplicity makes it hard not to love. Said to be one of the new hit bags, the Tod’s Kate Easy Media Giorno is simple but elegant. For any of you ladies who are through with the signature phase in bags, this bag may perfectly meet your needs and wants. Made of cognac smooth leather and showing off double top handles, Tod’s has found the perfect way to implement shape, practicality, and style. There is a stylish exterior pocket which adds an extra dimensions and a zip top closure with a lock and key detail. While the outside is simple, it is simple enough to make your heart melt. The inside of the bag has a zippered pocket and open panels. Measuring 7″H X 12 1/2″W X 8″D, there is enough room for your goodies to all be carried in one bag. Watch out Paddington and all you other “it” bags, this Tod’s bag is going to try to take a stand. Although I am a little upset at the copy of lock and key from my beloved Paddy, but let’s just pretend it was not intentional. To grab the next style of bags that may make quite the splash in the fashion world, make your way over to Neiman Marcus and buy it for $1100.

Sometimes timing is funny in life. I was recently watching Raising Helen, which I absolutely love, and then got an email from a frantic reader. Franticly in search of the bag Kate Hudson, Helen in the movie, was carrying. Oddly enough, I actually was paying attention to the beige beauty. Being the handbag connoisseur that I am, I had the gut feeling that the bag was a Tod’s bag from the beginning. I was even lucky enough to find a nice large picture, in which you can actually see that it is a Tod’s bag. But now Misty and I need your help- is anyone aware of the particular make of bag? Looks like a mostly suede bag with leather trim, nice size, and it is just gorgeous. I love it! The Tod’s website is still being put up, and I checked some other sites but did not happen to find a bag just like it. Let’s help Misty out with anything that we know! Did I mention Kate Hudson is absolutely gorgeous in the movie which makes me wish that much more that maybe I could carry that bag and be in her place

One of my most memorable teachers in life was from high school. Mrs. Campbell to be exact. She was in love with Henry David Thoreau and was always repeating his famous, “Simplicity, simplicity, simplicity! I say, let your affairs be as two or three, and not a hundred or a thousand. . . .” My teacher could not pound that thought into our head enough. That is where the Tod’s Happy Shopping Piccola grabs my attention. This bag is simply made and simply beautiful. There is nothing as simple as a black leather bag. While this bag may look simple, it is intricately made of black Nappa leather- which of course is very supple and soft, and trimmed in smooth leather. The brushed gold toned metal hardware is of course not too flashy, but just right for this bag. The front pocket does catch your attention, with its little lock and key, but still keeps the theme of minimalism. The shoulder straps are made of smooth leather and divine stitching. When you take a peek inside you find textile lining with an interior zipper pocket. The exact measurements are: 16″ (including the side pouches) x 7.5″ x 5.5″ (at widest). Do what Thoreau and Mrs. Campbell pounded into my brain- be simplistic and purchase this bag for the not so simplistic price of $995 through eLuxury.

It’s football time again. For those of you who don’t understand the significance of college football to American men- don’t ever tell them that! Actually Vlad is not even American and he is glued to the TV yelling and screaming while I am here to bring you some posh bags. This shopper is made of black grained leather with tinted edges and brown saddle stitching. The handles offer versatility with the option of using the two topstitched leather handles or the removable, long braided rope shoulder strap. You can choose which way you want to carry the bag. The bag also has a leather belt closure with a brushed silver metal buckle and fine textile lining with an inside zipped pocket. This Tod’s bag sizes up at 10″ x 10.5″ x7″.
