The Many Bags of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I want you to think back, all the way back to when Real Housewives first appeared. It was just the Orange County wives back then, and the show was intended to be a behind-the-scenes look at the privileged lives of a group of women who lived in the exclusive Coto de Caza gated community. Now the show is more about drama than wealth, but the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills somehow manages to bring both in almost equal measure. (Depending on which cast member you’re talking about, the scale may tip one way or the other.)

Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, Kim Richards, Taylor Armstrong, Adrienne Maloof and Brandi Glanville are the richest group of Housewives that Bravo has in its stable (although it appears that Lisa in particular, and perhaps Camille’s divorce settlement, may be helping out the average), and they make it known every episode in the jaw-dropping handbags that they carry. Now that the group has returned to television (and we’ve returned to recapping their antics), we’ve taken the liberty of looking through the group’s paparazzi shots and distilling them down into the definitive guide to The Many Bags of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Lisa Vanderpump

We all know what Lisa likes: pink, pink and more pink. Oh, and shoes and bags, which you know if you saw her enormous (it might be literally twice the size of my New York apartment) dressing room on the show’s third season premiere. When it comes it handbags, Lisa’s first love seems to be Dolce & Gabbana – I would have guessed that she’d be more of a Chanel girl myself, but the heart wants what the heart wants. Here she is with one of her many Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily Tote, this one in hot pink leopard. You can get the regular leopard version for $3245 via Nordstrom.

Animal print not enough? Lisa also has the Dolce & Gabbana Miss Sicily in sequined, mixed animal print. Pick up the relatively sedate black sequin version for $2245 via Net-a-Porter.

Lisa doesn’t just do animal print Miss Sicily bags, she also does three-dimensional flowers. Get a similar look with the lace Miss Sicily for $2425 via Neiman Marcus.

Lisa doesn’t limit herself to Miss Sicily bags, though – why would she? Check out her very “Lisa” hot pink Dolce & Gabbana Miss Dolce Handbags. The lace version is $2245 via Nordstrom.

One thing Lisa always does really well is find a handbag to perfectly match her ensemble, no matter what she’s wearing. The purple Christian Louboutin Sweet Charity Flap Bag in this photo blends perfectly with her pink and purple maxi dress. We think she might also like this printed version, $3595 via Net-a-Porter

Here, Lisa and her Miu Miu Matelasse Hobo teach you how to get out of a car like a millionaire. Get the clutch version for $1295 via Net-a-Porter.

This photo of Lisa and her perfect beige and ivory Valentino Embroidered Flower Tote proves it – Lisa has the perfect bag for any outfit of any color. Check out a similar black version for $3195 via Neiman Marcus.

Naturally, Lisa has a little bit of Valentino Rockstud in her collection – it’s feathered Rockstud, of course. Get the leather version in Lisa-approved pink for $1895 via Neiman Marcus.

Camille Grammer

Camille isn’t a full-fledged Real Housewife anymore, but she put in her time on the show, so we think her bags are just as important. Or bag, singular, I should say – Camille LOVES her Louis Vuitton Neverfull Totes and carries them almost exclusively. You can grab your own for $900 via Louis Vuitton.

Don’t believe me? Here are Camille and her trusty Neverfull again.

What’s this? A variation! Camille chose a striped Neverfull instead of her traditional monogram for this spring outfit.

For a rare departure from her Neverfull, Camille chose another Louis Vuitton monogram tote.

Adrienne Maloof

For some reason, Adrienne seems to be the cast member that’s the least hounded by paparazzi, even in the wake of her nasty divorce from husband Paul Nassif. We did manage to find a picture of her carrying a shiny silver Chanel Classic Flap Bag, though.

Kim Richards

Kim’s another cast member that we only caught with one notable bag, but she likely has more important things to worry about than her handbag collection. Here, she takes a note from sister Kyle (whose collection we’ll get to momentarily) with a Chanel Flap Bag.

Taylor Armostrong

Taylor’s probably the most controversial of the Beverly Hills cast members, and sometimes that controversy extends to her handbags. (Notoriously, her Birkins were found to be fake when she tried to use them as part of a lawsuit settlement.) We’re 100% sure that this mirrored silver Reed Krakoff Boxer Tote is all real, though. Pick up the genuine article for $1090 via Net-a-Porter.

This Louis Vuitton Le Fabuleux, which is no longer produced, seems to be among Taylor’s favorites from happier financial times.

Taylor’s Gucci Monogram Horsebit Tote is a great everyday staple – we hope she held onto this one in the lawsuit. (And that it was real to begin with.) Shop Gucci via Gucci.com.

Brandi Glanville

Brandi is among the cast’s newest members, and her brash sense of humor makes her one of my favorites. Brandi seems like she’s not a huge handbag person, but we found a few covetable items in her collection. She’s carrying two of them in this photo – a Stella McCartney Python Print Falabella Bag and a Louis Vuitton Monogram Tote (it’s hard to tell exactly which design.) Grab her Stella bag for $1435 via Neiman Marcus.

And is this…is this Chanel? Brandi, girl, hold the clutch up to the camera so that I can get a better look.

I think this is also Chanel, but going out at night with a black bag tucked under your arm certainly doesn’t make things easy for me, identification-wise.

Kyle Richards

For a heaping helping of Chanel that we can identify, let’s turn to Kyle, who has perhaps the most diverse collection of all the Beverly Hills housewives. She was introduced in the very first episode as a woman with a handbag fetish, and she hasn’t disappointed us yet. Of all her handbags, it sees that she carries her trusty beige Chanel Cerf Tote more than anything.

My personal favorite in Kyle’s big Chanel collection (she counts her Chanel bags among her favorite possessions) is her big blue patent Chanel Classic Flap Bag.

Prefer something a bit more neutral? Kyle has a similar Chanel Classic Flap in basic black.

Kyle has lots of kids, and I can help but wonder if this Chanel Tote was ever used as a baby bag – it’d be perfect!

Beyond Chanel, Kyle also has a penchant for Hermes Birkins. This black one is her clear favorite.

I can’t decide if this Hermes Birkin is the same one that’s in the last picture or a smaller Birkin. Either way, I totally dig the bag charm Kyle added.

Lest you think Kyle limits herself to black Birkins, here she is with a very respectable tan version.

Occasionally Kyle takes a walk on the wild side, like with her Devi Kroell Python Hobo.

This Givenchy Antigona Bag in leopard is pretty wild too, although I wish that the leather trim were black instead of tan. Pick up your own Antigona via Barneys for $2405.

Ultimately, though, Kyle seems to love a neutral – this Givenchy Nightingale Shopper Tote is right up her alley. If it’s also right up yours, Barneys has it for $2180.
