Like the majority of fashion sites, we tend to stick to the ladies when we look at what celebrities are wearing and carrying. Women have far more options, after all, and we make up the vast majority of the population that’s interested in the details of high-end handbags. We like to think of ourselves as completists, though, which means that it’s time for us to plug a significant hole in our coverage: famous dudes who love bags. (more…)

Of all the celebrities we’ve profiled in our Many Bags series, Emmy Rossum might have more relatable personal style than any of them. The way that Emmy dresses is the way that a lot of women want to dress – feminine, pulled together but not too precious. Like a grown woman, but not in a way that ages her. If she weren’t an actress, it’s not hard to imagine her translating her wardrobe to any variety of real-world pursuits, and she’d always be the woman in the office with the lipstick you envied.

Rossum’s bag lineup is pretty enviable, too. She sticks mostly to American designers like Ralph Lauren, Coach and Kate Spade who do the casual-preppy look in a really wearable way. If you like a classic look, Emmy’s all the style inspiration you’ll need for the day, and maybe even for the season.

Paris Fashion Week is an event like none other. We love New York, London and Milan, don’t get us wrong, but the combination of clothes and celebrities that happens in Paris will always be our favorite. This season, we found even more stars and fashion insiders carrying super-covetable bags than we did back in September, and we’ve assembled them all for your viewing pleasure. (more…)

The third leg of fashion’s seasonal four week journey around the globe as come to a close, and as always, Milan Fashion Week Fall 2014 brought out a cadre of celebrities both Italian and international, all carrying leather goods from Italy and beyond. (Although even brands based elsewhere often manufacture their bags in Italy – the country’s tanneries and ateliers are that good.) As always, we have a faithful study of just what everywhere was carrying to the shows and parties, including a lot of Anna Dello Russo’s signature outrageousness. (more…)

London Fashion Week tends to get short shrift when it comes to evaluating the month of fashion shows that we all look forward to and/or endure every six months. It’s the shortest of the four “weeks,” and arguably the least prestigious, although the Brits have a knack for figuring out what’s coming next before anyone else. LFW is a bastion of young talent and streetwear, and for that, plenty of celebs, British, American and beyond, come out to see what London has on offer. Naturally, they do so carrying great bags, and we’ve got the best of the lot below.

As another New York Fashion Week draws to a close, we still can’t get enough of what people were toting outside of the tents, studios and miscellaneous venues that make up the sprawling event. Vladi has spent the week giving you a close-up view of what everyone, famous and not-so-famous, has been carrying to NYFW, and now it’s time for us to investigate exactly what the various and sundry celebrity attendees have had on their arms and shoulders. Below, check out all the famous faces we could find, plus their respective handbag choices. (more…)

New York Fashion Week kicks off today, and with it comes a month of style, absurdity and literally hundreds of fashion shows. We’ll be bringing you all the best Fall 2014 handbag collections from New York and beyond, as well as a daily dose of the best handbags outside the New York shows courtesy of Vlad and his trusty camera(s), but first, we want to take a moment to look back. Not too far back, though – just to what our favorite stars, editors and fashion illuminati were carrying outside of the Spring 2014 shows all over the world back in September. If you’d like to check out the stars of each week individually, we did posts about New York, London, Milan and Paris, or you can find our favorites from the entire season below.

The Sundance Film Festival started off as Robert Redford’s Utah-based labor of love, where independent filmmakers could come to share their work and and find support. Now it’s a full-on celebrity carnival, especially for actors and actresses looking for some indie cred and studios hoping that their films will generate some very early Oscar buzz. Of course, anywhere you find celebrities, you’ll find a bevy of beautiful handbags, and today we’re here to aggregate all the great accessories looks that we found at last week’s film fest.

Like mother, like daughter, especially when it comes to Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Osbourne and their respective handbag collections. We profiled the elder Osbourne’s love for black Chanel bags a few months ago, and now that awards season is upon us, Kelly is gracing all of our televisions even more regularly than she usually does for red carpet coverage. That seemed like enough reason to delve into her handbag collection, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Kelly seems to have on speed dial the same hardworking Chanel sales associate as her mom. Check out her bags, Chanel and beyond, below.

It’s rare that we do a Many Bags feature on a celebrity that I’ve met before, mostly because I do not hobnob with celebrities on the regular (or ever). Olivia Palermo works with an events firm that used to be housed on the same floor as the PurseBlog offices, though, and I am here to tell you that she (and her handbag collection, which we first documented in December 2012) is absolutely lovely. Not only did she not mind that Bea and I accosted her to ask about her handbag when she was in the building one day, but she dished with us about it like a totally normal person. A totally normal person with flawless skin, but still. Below you’ll find all the pretty things that Olivia’s been carrying since the last time we checked in with her.
