The Many Bags of Emma Stone

I have a small (ok, maybe not-so-small) girl crush on The Amazing Spider-Man star Emma Stone, and the picture above should explain exactly why I have such positive feels about her. In a world where we’re used to seeing dour, shielded faces in paparazzi shots, Stone doesn’t take herself too seriously. When one of our Twitter followers suggested earlier this week that we spotlight her for The Many Bags of…, I couldn’t resist. She’s smart, funny, down-to-earth, absolutely beautiful and seriously talented; what’s not to love?

Emma seems to be the kind of girl who takes to shoving things in her pockets instead of carrying a bag, but when she does, it’s usually something neutral and functional that leaves her hands free for her omnipresent coffee cup, which is often a metal travel mug brought from home. Celebrities: they’re just like us! Where Stone really shines (har har har, bad joke) is on the red carpet, where her clutch game is just about as tight as it comes. Check our tour of Emma’s bag collection after the jump.

The petite Alexander Wang Rockie Bag seems to be Emma’s favorite, which makes sense – it’s neutral, fairly discreet and small enough for someone who seems to prefer not being weighed down. $725 via ShopBop

And again with the Alexander Wang Rockie Duffel, this time as an easy crossbody option. $725 via ShopBop.

Emma has a great relationship with Lanvin, which explains why she was the first celebrity spotted toting the brand new Lanvin JL Bowler. $2890 via Net-a-Porter.

From this picture, it looks as though Emma chose to use the Fendi Chameleon Tote as a carry-on, which makes sense; it’s roomy, sturdy and neutral enough not to call too much attention to itself in the airport. $2340 via Neiman Marcus.

Another everyday favorite? This Salvatore Ferragamo Stitched Messenger. The photo credits say that Emma is heading into a photo call for a movie in this picture – with her messenger bag and her coffee from home, just like a normal person heads to work instead of how a Movie Star Attends an Event. How can you not love her? Neiman Marcus has a similar Ferragamo bag for $2600.

The Chloe Marcie Tote: a perennial celeb favorite, even among celebs who aren’t huge bag lovers. You can pick up your own for $1895 via Net-a-Porter.

In stark contrast to how casual and low-key her everyday style is, Emma really knows how to work a red carpet-worthy dress. This Bottega frock from several years ago is one of my all-time favorite of her looks, and it pairs perfectly with a Bottega Veneta Elongated Knot Clutch. Cop the shorter version for $1380 via Net-a-Porter.

Again with a Bottega Veneta Knot Clutch, Emma demonstrates that there’s no better way to dress up basic black than with a small, bright bag. Get a similar style via Neiman Marcus for $1380.

Emma also knows how to mix her colors – the combination of this bright red-orange dress and a dustry green The Row Metal Framed Lizard Clutch is counterintuitive, but it works. $5800 via Net-a-Porter.

As we mentioned before, Emma has a strong relationship with Lanvin. Here she is at the 2012 Met Gala, where she accompanied brand head Alber Elbaz and wore a Lanvin dress with a Lanvin Box Clutch. Shop Lanvin via Net-a-Porter.

And yet another Lanvin Box Clutch! Shop Lanvin via Net-a-Porter.

Emma also rolls with Chanel on occasion. It’s hard to see in this photo, but that’s a black-on-black, crystal-embellished Chanel Mini Classic Flap that she’s toting here.

And another Chanel Clutch, this one of a decidedly paler hue.
