Here’s Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, shopping, strolling, and trying not to trip over semi-feral cats in LA, all while carrying a white Victoria Beckham Quincy Tote. Rosie has almost exclusively carried Saint Laurent and Givenchy bags this year, so a Victoria Beckham tote is a bit of a departure for her, brand-wise.
In a lot of ways, air travel is the great equalizer. Only the richest of the ultra-rich fly exclusively private, and for run-of-the-mill famous people, even A-listers, working means boarding a lot of commercial flights. Often those flights either land or originate at Los Angeles International Airport, or LAX, where paparazzi are poised every day to document one of the few mundane activities that a star can’t protect or control: checking in, checking her bags and walking to security.
It wasn’t that long ago that Givenchy was just another luxury brand in LVMH’s significant stable. A few years ago, though, a streetwear sensibility started to leak into Riccardo Tisci’s gothic leanings and couture mastery, and ever since then, the brand’s signature graphic T-shirts, luxe sneakers and, more than anything, iconic handbags have been on the backs, feet and arms of basically every famous person on the planet.
Here’s Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, arriving at LAX looking as supermodel-perfect as she always does. Like most gorgeous celebs, Rosie spends an absurd amount of time navigating her way through throngs of paps and autograph-seekers in airports all over the world. Her bag du jour is in fact, a dark green Saint Laurent Sac du Jour.
Here’s Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, making air travel look especially glamorous at JFK. She’s carrying a Givenchy Ayers-Trimmed Antigona Bag, one of many Givenchy bags in her collection. Throwing gorgeous supermodels a few freebies has to be a lot cheaper than paying whatever their going modeling rates are these days.
Here’s model/actress/exquisite dresser Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, heading into a London studio for a shoot, carrying a Givenchy Lucrezia Bag. This Lucrezia looks a little flashier than most because of the chain trim, which is quite the contrast to the white Dolce & Gabbana bag we spotted Rosie carrying at Cannes.
The 2014 Cannes Film Festival has come and gone, all two weeks of it, although I’m of the belief that it is perhaps happening out there, somewhere, in perpetuity, but on a plane of existence to which we only have access once a year.
Here’s the endlessly chic Rosie Huntington-Whiteley arriving at LAX, carrying a black Saint Laurent Sac de Jour Tote. In case you’ve forgotten, Rosie is a model and an actress, but everyone here probably just recognizes her from appearing in pics just like these and dressing impeccably, all of the time.
I’ve been up to my eyeballs in pictures of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley lately, but I really can’t complain because Rosie has a great sense of style – one that’s on par with Miranda Kerr’s, even. (YES, I said it.) Admittedly, her style is a tad more casual (and a little more English, if that makes sense), but much like Miranda, she never steps out on to the street without looking immaculately put-together.
Here’s English model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, sporting neutral tones in an effort to blend in with the common airport folk in Sydney, Australia, but to no avail – that bright red Gucci Bamboo Shopping Tote and her general supermodel good looks gave her away almost instantly.
