Lady Gaga Balenciaga Cable Strap Fur Shopping Tote

Here’s Lady Gaga, leaving her “Jazz at Lincoln Center” performance with the legendary Tony Bennett, dressed like a Jazz Age vamp and carrying a Balenciaga Cable Strap Fur Shopping Tote. These bags debuted on Balenciaga’s Fall 2014 runway, and you can currently find a black calfskin leather version for $2,055 at Neiman Marcus.

Lady Gaga Hermes Vintage Kelly Bag

Here’s Lady Gaga, arriving at her father’s restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in NYC, carrying a vintage Hermes Kelly Bag that has been…well loved. Gaga has a history of carrying altered, or, depending on your perspective, “defaced,” Hermes bags, so it’s not a stretch to think that she likes the half-destroyed look of this one.

We’ve featured Lady Gaga on PB thrice in the last few weeks, in three outfits that were worlds apart from each other (as is her style), and yet two had something in common: Versace. Here’s Gaga coming out of the Sirius Satellite Radio offices in NYC after doing a little promo for her forthcoming album (which seems like it’s been forthcoming for 100 years), channeling Jodie Foster’s character from Taxi Driver.

Here’s Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta coming out of a building in NYC, playing the part of exorbitantly wealthy (yet slightly confused) ingénue this week, instead of walking piece of performance art that she was days ago. (We love you both ways, Lady Gaga.

Oh, Lady Gaga. Here’s her ladyship exiting her hotel in London, tempting fate and testing the patience of fashion lovers everywhere with a particularly outlandish hat choice. (I enjoy how all the Brits in these pics look particularly blasé about the whole situation.) When regarded individually, everything she’s wearing is pretty amazing, though I contend that her hat belongs in a museum and not on the head of an actual human being, for obvious reasons.

The Many Bags of Lady Gaga

Oh, Lady Gaga. She’s just irrepressible, isn’t she? I used to be a major Gaga fangirl back in her early days (I went to see her for the first time long before she was playing arenas, I swear), but now she’s just kind of…tiring.

I have decided that Lady Gaga performs makeovers on her Hermes Birkins just for us. She wants the handbag lovers of the world to get a rise out of what she is doing to her bag. And how can you not?

If you’re a fan of the Hermes Birkin (or simply not a fan of Lady Gaga), gird your loins for this one.

When her Monster Ball tour landed recently in Tokyo, La Gagita was seen in the airport carrying a white Hermes Birkin inscribed with a message that loosely translates to “I love small monster.

Back when I wrote about the fantastical, confusing, reptilian shoes that Alexander McQueen showed for his brilliant Spring 2010 runway show, I remember thinking that the only person that I could see actually trying to wear the shoes in any serious way was Lady Gaga.

Marc Jacobs Python Thrash Clutch

Marc Jacobs has combined two of the season’s top trends into one compact clutch. The Marc Jacobs Python Thrash Clutch ($1895 at Barneys) touts a python quilted and embellished with studs. The quilting AND studs seem to be a bit of texture overdose on this very petite bag.
