Celebrity fashion continues to drive home the fact that LA and NYC are polar (vortex) opposites, but the bag picks of half-frozen supermodels and bare-armed actresses on both coasts are always choice, even when the weather is less than idyllic. In related news, the Givenchy Mini Pandora has emerged as this week’s “bag for all seasons.”

We’ll begin the new year with some solid celeb bag picks from the final days of 2014. The days following Christmas are always a blur of shopping, leftovers, air travel and, usually, more shopping. LA-based celebs did their usual laps around LAX and Fred Segal, which is pretty much always a paparazzi sure-thing, NYC-based celebs did much of the same, and still other celebs popped up in idyllic holiday hang-outs like Aspen, as they so often do this time of year.
Celebs spent their Thanksgiving breaks the same way we all did: navigating crowded airports and juggling unwieldy luggage, all to break bread with the family members they love but see all too rarely. All but two of the celebs pictured below are outside or inside of airports, and because celebs fully expect to be photographed at airports, their bag choices are always truly top-notch.
Actress Emmy Rossum made an appearance at a No Kill LA Animal Adoption event over the weekend, where she picked up a new pup and provided the animal rescue organization with a little bit of always-needed publicity via Twitter and Instagram (as well as slightly more traditional media outlets).
Actress Emmy Rossum was recently spotted at LAX carrying an exotic Ralph Lauren Alligator Ricky Bag. Emmy has a very close relationship with the RL brand and has several Rickys to show for it. This particular Ricky is one of Ralph Lauren’s priciest handbag offerings to date, and it’s currently available for $22,500 at Ralph Lauren.
Although the most notorious outfit at last night’s 2014 CFDA Awards didn’t include a clutch (if you’ve seen photo’s of Rihanna’s dress from last night, you know it didn’t include much), we found plenty of attendees who carried beautiful little clutches and evening bags from both their designer dates and other brands.
The always-adorable Emmy Rossum was recently spotted running errands around Beverly Hills with a minty blue Rebecca Minkoff Blake Bag. This colorful top handle bag really pops with her lacy top, heather jersey skirt and color-matching ballet flats. The Blake is a style from last spring that’s sadly not currently available online, but you can find oodles of Rebecca Minkoff bags, shoes and apparel at ShopBop.
