This summer we saw unassuming new handbag styles from Tod’s and MCM turn into bonafide hits. A certain Versace style also finally took off, and the ongoing Gucci renaissance ensured that we saw almost as many Guccis on A-lister arms as we saw Givenchys.
Exciting new summer handbag trends are emerging this week, and celebs’ designer selections are all over the place (in a good way). Also, as you’ve obviously gathered, Beyoncé makes an appearance, as well as several more of our favorite supermodels and/or television personalities, and they have all chosen to reward us for our patience and admiration with some extremely colorful wardrobe and hair choices.
Celebs can cycle through designer handbags at a break-neck speed, so when certain celebs keep carrying the same bags for weeks or even months, we notice. The weather is gradually creeping up to sixty degrees Fahrenheit in most parts of the country, so you know what that means: time to bust out the spring flannels! Just kidding, it’s time to go sandal shopping.
It’s late February, so of course that means it’s time for Los Angeles celebrities to bust out the barely-there denim. It’s basically a seasonal rite of passage. I jest, of course–this seems a tad early for short shorts, even by LA standards, but that’s certainly this week’s most notable trend, right behind giant black designer totes.
Every year, Sports Illustrated takes advantage of the surplus of models congregating in NYC during NYFW by throwing a few launch parties for their latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. When I say “a few”, I mean it: this year’s launch even included a two-day, two-city fan festival in NYC and Nashville (?), in addition to all the usual high-profile, celeb-and-press-only events.
