Earlier this week we popped into the Diane von Furstenberg showroom to see all of the amazing accessories arriving soon (we have a huge spring look for you all coming tomorrow). DvF continues to nudge her way into the competitive handbag market effortlessly, bringing fresh designs that are grabbing attention.

The bag that introduced DvF into the handbag spotlight is the Stephanie, which is still one of my favorite bags I own. I own the original version, which is heavy and large. But the design and aesthetic of this bag is so amazing that the weight doesn’t bother me. And for those of you that love the look of the Stephanie but care about the weight of your bag, the newer versions have the same amazing woven technique while weighing a fraction of the original.

Above you can see me with my DvF Stephanie bag trying to stay dry! Shop DvF via ShopBop!

That is a beautiful bag! But it seems a bit too large. This would be perfect if it came in a smaller size.

    Great pic, too!

It does come in smaller sizes! I have the biggest one – the large. I typically use it when traveling :)

      • Cathy Fitz

Oh, no! Now I have a new bag to stalk!! LOL

      • Seejayluvsbags

Do you ever double the strap so the bag isn’t as long?

      • http://www.purseblog.com/ Megs Mahoney Dusil

I double the strap often on the bag. But typically I just fling it over my shoulder and it works really well cross-body as well

  • annabelle

    gorgeous photo! love big bags!

  • Nicole

    I LOVE this bag!!!!

  • Jane H.

You are TALL!!! (Meant in a good way, of course :D)

      Oh yea, I am 5’10.5!

  • DJ

I looks like you could use that bag as a boat if it rained too much.

    • Lulugurl

      :) *rofl*

  • michelle

How much smaller is the smaller size?? I thought it only came in two sizes…the one you have on and a pochette size???

    • http://www.purseblog.com/ Megs Mahoney Dusil

Oh no, more sizes. There is a medium hobo that is a perfect sized shoulder bag and then the pochette as well.

  • Sarah

What a beautiful bag! Could definitely be useful for a student as well ;)

  • Amy A

I love this bag,.. Ive been eying it from an internet distance lol

  • Rashida

You look very sophisicated in the picture! You take great pictures too! :) I also think the bag is gorgeous! :)

  • JennMSU

Love the Stephanie! I have been meaning to get one ever since I saw it for the first time, but other bags have clouded my view. Slouchy bags with shoulder straps are great when it rains and you have to hold an umbrella. Those ladies who hold a bag in hand plus coffee plus a phone plus an umbrella and make it work, total admiration from me.

  • Mochababe73

I like the concept of the bag. It’s pretty, but I don’t think that it’s my style. A little to hippie for my taste.

  • Diana

AMAZING! Going to check it out right now. Even more a fan of DvF now :)

Jacket is also DvF. It is a deep gold sequin jacket that I adore. Jeans are William Rast, shirt is Alexander Wang, and shoes are Dolce Vita!
