Marni Small Woven Tweed Bag

There’s just something about the color combination of pink, yellow and white that makes me so cheerful. I’m sure that it’s because I associate those colors with warm weather, but I’m not entirely sure why warmth continues to make me happy – I’ve lived in Georgia all of my life, and at this point, I should feel about heat how a Michigander (yes, that’s what you call them) feels about snow.

I’ve had enough sweaty, uncomfortable days in my life that I should hate the impending heat, but the sunny-sweet Marni Small Woven Tweed Bag makes me long for it anyway. I’m like an addict that knows the stuff is bad for me, but I still need a hit.

I’m not a huge fan of florals, but this floral is not so graphic and obvious that I find it off-putting. On the contrary, it has a nice, worn-in feeling to it that…well, it might make it kind of grandma-y, but we all have our weaknesses. Mostly, I just can’t stop looking at the colors – hot and pale pinks, yellow, chartreuse, hunter green. There are so many great outfits that can be built around this bag that my mind is totally boggled. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $1130.

I’m not sure how I feel about the different metal colors being used together along with brown leather. It seems too “heavy” for a spring/summer feel. I’d have to see it in person.

I dont blame you for loving warm weather….I come from India, and it is hot and humid in my hometown…I remember burning through perfumes in weeks, and spending a lot of effort combating sweat….but after all these in the cold Midwest…I still long for the hot humid beachy weather…. Exactly what I was thinking upon first glance! I think it would look different if the colors were a bit brighter. Tweed also seems kind of heavy for a summery bag.

I think this is kind of cute; I love the chain strap! It might look better in a different, more vibrant color but I think this would look cute with some khaki shorts and a white top. (fb).

I would LOVE it without the strap. I don’t like the silver and brass mixed together, and like another commenter said, the brass/brown leather strap is too heavy and dark and ‘wintery’ for a spring/summer bag. Cute as a button for a clutch, though! (fb)

Im not impressed with this bag at all. It reminds me of something my grandmother would carry. The colors look faded to me (which makes me associate it with being old-hence the grandmother remark), and Im not fond of this particular floral design. Amanda, Im not a big fan of floral either, but this one especially turns me off. I think Gucci and Coach have done a better floral print. (fb)
