In case we haven’t said it enough: Kate Spade’s spring collection is kind of totally brilliant. It’s girly, pretty and very Kate Spade, but with a witty edge that has really pulled the brand into the forefront of the contemporary price point. I’ve already bought my first bag from the line and I’m eyeing my second one.

The Kate Spade Jardin Tweed Robin Shoulder Bag skews a little too girly to fit into my wardrobe, but for someone with a very feminine style that tends toward vintage, this could be an absolutely perfect spring bag. With the notes of lime, coral and lavender running through it, I’m sure you can find a bright dress to pair with this bag.

And let’s be real here: This is the kind of bag that just screams to be worn with a dress. And if you’re not going to oblige it, you must at least wear some wide-leg linen pants in a light color with a bright silk. Nothing less will do. Kate Spade has a very clear vision of its customer and goes after her whole-heartedly, and when I look at the company’s products, I have no problem seeing the Kate Spade woman in my head; even though I may not be her, sometimes I like to dress up as her on the weekends. I can’t help but think that such a focused vision is a big part of the company’s newfound aesthetic success. Buy through Nordstrom for $245.

The price is amazing (my fav part of Kate Spade)! But you’re right, this bag is for the uber feminine at heart. The almost neon greens and pinks may lend some casual vibe to the purse, but I sense that this piece calls for a prim and proper dress and curled hair.

I love the idea but this little bag is a miss for me. I think I would like it more if the fabric had a less distressed appearance. Otherwise I think its such a cute bag.

This is too girly for me as well with the color scheme, but I LOVE that closure. It’s a great take on the turn lock.

Sometimes I just like a bag on first impressions without really knowing why. This Kate Spade Jardin Spring Robin Shoulder bag just works for me !

Kate Spade has done a 180 this year. In the past, her designs looked liked they were marketed toward “tweens”. I’m surprised (pleasantly), that her bags and shoes now look much more sophisticated. That being said, this brand always goes on sale, and I’d be hard pressed to buy anything full price from Spade.

It’s a little too overtly girly, for me, too; but I also love that clasp! :D
