Lanvin is my new obsession. After I saw the Lanvin Happy Partage Metallic Bag I could not stop picturing myself with that bag. Jeans and a white tee, little black dress, skirt. You name it, I pictured myself with it.
Then I saw the Lanvin Wrinkled Shoulder Bag, and while I did not fall head over heels as I did with the other, I still felt love. Lanvin just continues to get it right. Their bags are quirky, colorful, multi-dimensional. I want one. I need one.
The wrinkled lambkin gives an extra dimension to the bag. Without it, the bag is still stunning and I suspect many of you would prefer the bag without the wrinkles. I may be wrong, tell me what you think. The matte gold hardware looks beautiful against the taupe lambskin. Of course there is the signature blue ribbon handle with coin and large ribbon detail. Not sure who exactly designs the Lanvin bags, but Alber Elbaz is genius! I love and covet just about everything he does.
I love the look of Lanvin bags. Only problem I have with them is this. I own one. I am careful with my things. And, the second time I wore it, (it’s nubuck) it was discolored on the back. Having something that I really have to baby, is difficult. Makes me reach for a different bag. And yes, I had sprayed protectant on it.

Oh dear, I REALLY don’t like the wrinkled leather on this, at all, I’m afraid…
I love washed leather (I have a washed leather Chloe clutch) and that’s a bit wrinkly, of course.
But this, especially in this greyish, dead-flesh shade of taupe, looks exactly like skin that has adhered to itself on a long-dead cadaver.
Sorry to have had to be so blunt!
The style of the bag is OK, though, I suppose (although, nothing much to write home about, IMHO).
