L.A.M.B. vs. LeSportsac
Am I seeing double? As previously mentioned, today we are featuring handbags which look almost like carbon copies of one another. Sure, during any given season there are several bags that might have a similar shape or design. However, there certainly are a few bags out there that don’t just have similar features, they seem to be almost outright replicas. Now, I’m not talking about one designer bringing back a newer version of a handbag from seasons passed, I’m talking about different designers, same season and… same bag? This leads me to comparing the L.A.M.B. Music Dub Bag and the LeSportsac Kasey Mini Messenger Bag. We all know that Stella and LeSportsac have collaborated recently (on a painfully hideous deer backpack design), but these bags are almost an exact copy!
The L.A.M.B. Music Dub Bag is a leather handbag with 2 zipper pockets and vertical striped banding on the front. The back of the bag has a patch pocket and the handbag sports gold hardware and a tassel for a little extra flare. The inside of the bag is lined and a magnetic closure will keep your items where they should be – inside. You can buy through Shop Bop for $345.00.
So, you say you like the Music Dub Bag but you would prefer patent leather. Fear not, the LeSportsac Mini Messenger Bag could be the one. This bag has 3 zippers instead of 2, like the Music Dub Bag, but other than that (and the material), to me, the bags are identical. Well, ok, one more thing, the price. If you are looking to save a bit but really enjoy the look and feel of this design, you should be glad to hear you can buy this bag through Shop Bop for $34.00.
To recap, differences include: material, 2 vs. 3 zippers and price; similarities include: EVERYTHING ELSE! Ok, so the question remains, which would you choose?
Doesn’t really matter, because for $34, of course I think most would be LeSportsac!!
The original version of the LAMB bag came out in coated canvas a season or two ago and it was called the Wilbury. I owned one but returned it because it was too narrow for all the pockets imo. Because of that I doubt I’d get either if LeSportsac is just as narrow.
I like the LAMB version more…but not enough to spend $345 on it.
I actually prefer the Lamb bag because I quite like the center stripe. However there is no way in HELL I am paying $345 for it. That’s way too much money for a bag that small and narrow. So, in that case, I’ll take the LeSportsac!
Two other bags that look exactly alike are the Sak Silverlake satchel and the Botkier Sasha!
considering lamb used to design for lesportsac, it’s no suprise they’d draw inspiration from each other.
LeSportsac! What a price difference. I just can’t afford the L.A.M.B. bag, and it’s not noticeably prettier.
I usually hate LAMB bags, but this one cute.
I can´t decide which one of the too I dislike more. I would not choose either one of them, even handed them free for me.

I prefer the LAMB but not enough to pay it’s price. Besides, from experience, the LAMB bag will only get horridly stained after a few uses. Yet I don’t like the color of the LeSportsac!
They are both cringingly awful.
Ha! I have a bag of that same exact design from a few years ago. A no-name leather bag that I picked up at a Goodwill or yard sale. I loved that particular style for travel – small and easily slung over the shoulder.
If anybody really thinks any bag design is “new”, you’re crazy. It’s ALL been done before – ya’ll just weren’t shopping at Kmart like I was.
I would pick the Lamb bag but I dont like the design of either one really.
I like LAMB, but like some said, the first LAMB bags were made by Lesportsac, and the then CEO of Lesportsac Tim Schifter, who has sold the company now, is producing the new LAMB bags with Stefani.
It doesn’t really matter to me. They are both absolutely hideous.
