Jimmy Choo Cecile Woven Bag
by Amanda MullYou guys, it is the most beautiful day in the history of forever right now. A week ago it was snowing in Georgia, and now it’s 70 degrees and perfect, without a cloud in the sky. Come lunch time, I am going to be violating many a fashion rule by wearing white and flip flops long before Easter while I sit on a blanket at the University of Georgia’s leafy campus and eat a packed lunch. I will have a picnic with myself and my laptop, so it will be like all of you are joining me, right?
Ok, so, the weirdness of working at home aside, this is the weather that makes me want to put on my best spring purchases thus far and find some grass. I generally hate the outdoors, but for a few precious weeks before Georgia’s heat gets oppressive and insufferable, I can’t help but enjoy the gleaming promise of a new season. The only thing that could make it better would be having the Jimmy Choo Cecile Woven Bag by my side.
Bringing this bag to a picnic is probably not the wisest decision unless you’re very careful to keep it on the blanket and far from the food, but I’ve never been that good of a decision-maker (or particularly careful), so I’d probably do it in an instant. And with the basket-mimicking white woven leather and preponderance of shiny gold hardware, this bag is screaming for its turn in the sun – direct lighting is where this bag is going to look its best.
Don’t get me wrong, this bag would also be a champ under artificial light, but when a bag makes such a clear bid to be paired with the bright colors of spring and summer, I can’t help but hope that it gets at least a few moments outside with a fastidious owner that will make sure that the bag remains unsullied by the unpleasant realities of outdoor living. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go find my picnic blanket. Buy through Net-a-Porter for $1495.
I love this Jimmy Choo bag, it’s perfect for an evening out in Miami with your beau. This purse will look great with sling back, open toe gold pumps and a wonderful a-line linen dress. Just imagine sipping cocktails and enjoying the sun setting, on the patio of a wonderful restaurant with your honey.
You can definitely bring this purse to a picnic… As long as their serving Petrossian caviar and Veuve Cliquot Champagne! This is hot!!!
I too adore this bag! The braiding reminds me of huarache sandals. I can feel the cool breeze of the coming Spring and wild flowers!
It is a wonderful spring bag. My only dislike is the prominent Jimmy Choo gold plate. WHY!? WHY!? WHY!? It throws the whole bag off. That bag could speak for itself without displaying that huge ID tag.
Come on designers – give us break with your logo ridden bags already and try letting the bag, itself, speak for your design house and not some gawdy name plate or logos everywhere!
It is also a beautiful day here in Katy,Tx..I am loving this weather! Sooo ready to put a great spring dress on and some platforms! That Jimmy Choo bag is gorgeous! I am afraid of carrying white handbags, for fear of the color of my clothing rubbing on the bag..COLOR TRANSFER!!

I was a perfect day in the great city of Houston.
I don’t mind the name plate. It’s just in a bad place. But, I am not too fond of the bag. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but something is just a little off about it.
I have to gree with Sonya 100%. Would be perfect for a night out in Miami or any hot city.
I also LOVE the look of this bag, but I can’t do white. Their shelf life is not long with me. I always manage to wreck them. Black is more forgiving. And yes Stacy what is with the nameplate??? Ruins the look for me too.
I don’t think this bag would show dirt as much as an unwoven bag. I love the little nameplate, it’s a Choo thing…
