Anya Hindmarch Jackson Shoulder Bag

Today is another late start for Purse Blog. I spent the morning finalizing plans for my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, all personals, and centerpieces for the wedding. I have changed my mind weekly going from deep hues of red to light and airy ivory. It has been a lifesaver deciding to nix the whole color scheme for the wedding and end up with a more simple, elegant, and beautiful color palette. I know you want to hear more, but I can not share until after the wedding. But I can say that ivory is playing a major role. Toned-down and stunning, ivory is a color that is not as stark as white but muted and beautiful for many events, materials, and accessories.

Why so much talk about ivory, simplistic, and elegance? I think the Anya Hindmarch Jackson Shoulder Bag fits into the same mood and category as our upcoming wedding. Designed with shiny, patent calf leather this Anya Hindmarch bag is a stunner. There is a dual-colored logo plaque and chain strap. Dimensions are 15¼”W X 10″H X 1½”D. Buy through Saks for $1,150 or directly via Anya Hindmarch UK.

I visited the Anya Hindmarch boutique in NY last November and fell in love with her handbags. I love the quality, style and attention to function. But I would never buy her brand, not anymore.

Last month I saw Anya Hindmarch brand at Target in patent pleather. Oh Anya, how could you. I’ll never see the brand as a luxury brand again knowing I can buy a patent pleather authentic Anya Hindmarch bag at Target for $29.99.

I was so disappoionted. I’m curious how this makes others feel about the brand.

I have noticed that many designers are manufacturing for Target. I wonder if that would affect them in the overall??

Megs, for some reason I thought you were already married! Oops. My bad. (I’m relatively new here.) Best wishes to you! When is the wedding?
I have one of the Anya Hindmarch bags from Target and I’m very happy with it. I’m cutting waaaay back on my spending for luxury items this year, so I’m happy that some designers continue to produce affordable diffusion lines. In any case, I’m not loving the bag pictured here.
