If you have great leather in a bright color, it’s never boring to let it takes center stage at the expense of textural or hardware elements. Tory Burch knows this simple rule quite well, and I attribute much of her recent handbag success to its careful implementation.

The Tory Burch Dayton Flap Clutch plays the little sister to the previously reviewed Tory Burch Dayton Satchel, and this little bag with the (relatively) little price tag is just as successful as its older, more utilitarian sibling. “Day-to-night” is probably an overused term in fashion writing, but if any bag could fit that description, this one is it.

I prefer the silver hardware that comes with the black version of this bag, but in order to take advantage of such a pretty color of blue, I’m willing to deal with gold. The modern lock structure on the front flap isn’t overwhelming, and Burch has again tamed her previous penchant for logos – the exterior of this bag features nary a one. Go ahead and add this to my very long Tory Burch Love List. Buy through Saks for $350.
