While I go by Megs around these parts, my full name is Meaghan. (Yes, all those extra letters are part of my name). I rarely, if ever, have seen my name used in full, spelled exactly like mine, but the ever-popular easy version of my name is utilized often. Tory Burch has a new addition to her collection and it shares my name, if not my spelling.
I love when I see my name being used on a bag or any item, and I immediately stare at it long and hard, deciding if it’s something I’d like to pretend was named after me. When it comes to the Tory Burch Megan Satchel, the smooth buttery leather and the functionality make it a great bag – which makes me happy to see it named Megan.
Tory Burch is now a household name in the fashion world, but Burch continues to work on finding her exact place in milieu. While most know the classic Tory Burch logo, the brand seems to want to refine that and show that they are more than just a well-known logo. While the T is shown on this bag, it is not a focal point.
I really dig the shape of this bag, along with the leather, which looks to be super smooshy. I’m not 100% sold on the gold chain straps, but after inspecting a bit more, they seem to work. My main concern is not the look of the bag, but the ability for it to work over the shoulder. An 8″ drop is going to make shoulder wear a bit difficult, and that may be this bag’s downfall. It might not work over winter coats, but come spring and summer, this bag should be perfect. Buy via Neiman Marcus for $550.
