You may have noticed that I was a little MIA (missing in action) last week. I spent most of the week driving from the West Coast to the East Coast. For those of you who have never experience a cross-country drive, it was a long one. My brother flew out to California and did the drive with me, which made it much more exciting. But leading up to the drive itself, I did a complete top to bottom cleaning of my apartment which included assessing all of my belongings. So as you can imagine I got caught up on my handbag collection.

While going through all of my bags, I was once again reminded about my lack of cross-body bags or even good/new shoulder bags. I do have several shoulder bags, but I think it is time for me to diversify my collection a bit. No reason not to, right?

When it comes to diversifying your handbag collection, you really can’t go wrong by adding a Rebecca Minkoff bag. For me, and what I am looking for, the Rebecca Minkoff Buckled Up Fold Over Bag would be a fantastic addition to my collection.

This cross-body bag (with 25″ strap drop) is made of leather and has a noticeable, yet not too over the top buckled strap. I love the zipper detailing at the front of the bag along with the tassel pulls. I said it a long time ago, but zipper detailing is huge right now and I don’t see it going anywhere anytime soon. Frankly, this doesn’t bother me one bit. This bag boasts just a hint of edginess while still being able to partner with so many different outfits. Buy through Shopbop for $395.

Very hip crossbody bag. The leather looks super soft!

Love this bag ! Good size for a crossbody as it is not too small, and love the buckle features. Torn between black or grey, and I quite like the brown too !!!

So tired of reading about RM all the time on this blog.

    • Amanda Mull

Well, we write about RM bags because most people seem to like reading about and commenting on them – our RM posts tend to get more comments than average, and we take that as a cue that people enjoy those posts. If you have a constructive suggestion of what you’d like to see, please don’t hesitate to send it to us, we love to get them. We try to diversify our posts as much as we can, but after a while, writing about no-name bags that no one wants to talk about gets a little boring. We’re trying to give our readers what they want.
