The brand is known much better for their watches than their handbags, but I can’t help but be taken in by the thick leather and chunky details of the Michele Inez Leather Hobo. The leather’s texture gives it a biker-y, rough-and-tumble feel and that I’m drawn to over and over again.
We spend so much time gushing about soft, slouchy leather that sometimes we forget to consider that other textures have their appropriate place in the handbag world. The leather on this bag looks like it has a bit of a slouch despite its thick exterior, but it’s the pebbled texture that I simply cannot turn away from. The tough exterior ensures that the bag isn’t too girly, and the choice to use black as the bag’s color is perfect.
I also found myself zooming in to examine the bag’s fine details first-hand. The seams all have a tonal zipper edge to them, which is enormously popular in industrially inspired bags lately. The small, shiny rivets at the attachment for the braided shoulder strap give the bag a tiny bit of bling that it needs to completely the edgy-but-high-end look. Buy through Saks for $495.
