This clutch is cute. I like the mummy-esque look that you see with the strategically draped leather. The over all shape of the clutch is pretty typical. There is nothing too flashy or edgy about it. However, it is the way that the leather has been placed around the bag that makes it as unique as it is.

There is an edgy rocker feel to the Maison Martin Margiela Leather Strip Clutch that is understated yet present. With these dimensions, 8″W X 5″H X 1″D, the clutch isn’t oversized, but you won’t have to struggle to fit your essentials into it. I do have one fault, and that is the zipper closure. I wish a different sort of fastening would have been used – even a magnetic snap closure would have been heaps better. But, at the same time, it’s not a deal breaker. I find this clutch to be interesting, a little bit out there and definitely something you’re not going to see everywhere you look. Buy through Saks for $500.
