Kate Spade and Current/Elliott collaborate on capsule collection

We’ve got one last interesting morsel of handbags news for you lovely ladies today, this time by way of a counterintuitive collaboration that threatens to be fabulous. Women’s Wear Daily reports that Emily Current and Meritt Elliott, the duo behind West Coast denim brand Current/Elliott, have joined forces with girly New York’s Kate Spade to bring us a capsule collection of bags.

The collaboration, which has been given the mouth-full name of The Westward by Emily and Meritt for Kate Spade New York, will feature bags ranging from $245 to $1295 that marry Current/Elliott’s West Coast cool with Kate Spade’s colorful East Coast femininity. bravo to a fantastic collab.( even thou I have only seen this one image!) The use of ostrich and suede(??) , paired together with the antik gold hardware is just soooo fab and unexpected at the same time! thumbs up and looking forward to see more of that collaboration soon! Eureka ! just found one that catches my eye … its a “fab collab” … sure would wanna give high marks in my blog too (http://www.amazinglycoolbox.blogspot.com/) I just hope future collabs would remain great and not run out of fashion forward creative juice… Kudos to the Purseblog too for being so technically well organized but still maintaining visual appeal to the blog.

It’s okay I guess. I am assuming that the whole reason behind doing a capsule collection with Current/Elliot is to try something different. However, I am still all about the girly aesthetic of Kate Spade but continue to appreciate them stepping outside of the box.
