Recently, I’ve found myself liking just about every Cole Haan bag that I come across. However, when I started thinking about Cole Haan handbags, I realized that we mostly cover bags on the larger end of the spectrum, you know, great totes, hobos and satchels. I am not complaining here, but I noticed there is a lack of smaller Cole Haan bags like clutches.

So, here we have a really lovely clutch, the Cole Haan Bailey Ruched Leather Foldover Clutch. This is a really nice bag that would be perfect for a night out with the girls or that special someone. The thing I love most about this bag is that it isn’t pretentious. Sometimes, evening bags come off as pretentious, but this one does not. Instead, you find supple grained leather, a hint of ruching and a great removable chainlink strap (8″ drop). I love, love, LOVE that the chain is removable because the bag is absolutely perfect with and without it. There is a magnetic snap closure that keeps the front flap secure. If you are anything like me, after seeing this clutch you too will welcome more small bags from Cole Haan. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $148.

Every Cole Haan bag I’ve owned has weathered amazingly well, the leather is incredible, and the classic design always gets great feedback from others. I love this clutch – don’t own any smaller Cole Haan bags but this looks beautiful. The ruched leather from Cole Haan is the softest I’ve ever seen and only gets better over time. And another thing, the magnetic closures on Cole Haan bags work really well. Can you tell I’m a fan? :)

I was pretty indifferent to Cole Haan bags for a good while there, but in the last year or so their designs have definitely picked up! In person, they are even lovelier than in photos – and incredibly well made, at an excellent price point. What’s not to love? Thanks for featuring them here, this is a brand that merits more attention.

I absolutely love this bag, but I can’t find it anywhere online (it is sold out at Bloomindales) – does anyone know where I can buy it now?
