Before I started working for Team Purse Blog (we should get some t-shirts made, shouldn’t we) there were several designers I hadn’t heard about. Antik Batik is a good example of this. And now that I look back, we’ve covered quite a few bags from this designer and per usual there are some I like more than others. But hey, isn’t that always the case?

Antik Batik Swar Pouchette

The Antik Batik Swar Pouchette is cute; it is as simple as that. This suede bag is covered with rhinestones, sequins, chain details and has suede lining. If you were to just read that description you might think there was too much going on, but since it is such a small bag, it works.

In fact, this is exactly the kind of bag that Megs would have loved as a small child. She always loved little ornate things. She would find a shiny evening bag our mom had and Megs would stuff it with all sorts of tiny things she had saved. I guess that is why Megs has such a great eye when it comes to fashion and handbags; she knows how to focus on the smallest of details while still looking at the big picture. So, keeping this idea in mind, again, this pouchette is elegant while demonstrating how to take a plethora of detail and bring it all together. Buy through Shopbop for $238.
