I love when a brand steps into the forefront of the accessories business and secures its place as a new designer to be coveted. This is precisely what 3.1 Phillip Lim has done with his handbag line, and now it seems everyone is catching on. Whether it is a PVC Pashili tote or the 31 Hour collection, the brand has moved into the contemporary (or, more accurately, the premium-contemporary) handbag spotlight.

The latest bag to catch my attention is a take on the coveted Pashli but in an wearable messenger style. Right now I just can’t get enough of the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Messenger Bag in bright fuchsia.

I’m such a major messenger bag fan because the shape makes my life easier. The lack of logos and even the designer name on the bag allows the design to stand out on its own, and the chic style does just that. There is a button-tab that secures the rolled leather handles and the shape is different to many handbags on the market right now, but similar to the highly coveted Celine luggage tote. It’s an overall-simple bag but it looks amazing, and this is why the fashion world is going nuts over it. I expect to see it on style bloggers and editors alike during Fashion Week.
