Salvatore Ferragamo Leather Satchel

Sep 15, 2009 / Posted in Salvatore Ferragamo Handbags, Satchels by Megs Mahoney Dusil.

Sometimes we all just want a handbag that gets the job done. A beautiful, well-crafted, practical handbag. Today we can walk into any major department store and when you walk by the handbag department you will be bombarded with hundreds of different bags, some adorned with bobbles, jingles, sequins, hardware, and other extras. Salvatore Ferragamo is a perfect go-to when looking for a well-made and beautiful bag. Sometimes their designs go outside of the box, but typically you can find a practical and classic design from them.

There is something so simple yet so amazing about the Salvatore Ferragamo Leather Satchel. The beige leather looks to be a creamy color of beige, which looks crisp and clean on the fine pebbled leather. The iconic silvertone hardware will alert you to the fact that this is a Ferragamo bag at the front and sides.

The satchel has a top handle with a 5″ drop, which surely would not fit over my arm comfortable if at all. But there is a shoulder strap. This purse is very reminiscent of the Ferragamo bag Jennifer Aniston was seen wearing on the set of of her latest movie. Once you see the bag on Jennifer, you realize how simple yet beautiful Ferragamo bags are. There is a lock closure and inside zipper with two open pockets. Dimensions are 13″W X 8½”H X 6″D.

Also, you all may remember the shot Vlad took of me holding the white Salvatore Ferragamo Convertible Satchel, which you all also loved. For me, this style from Ferragamo is a home run. Buy through Saks for $1650.

Megs, I have always loved this bag. I have only seen it IRL in black and I thought that was a beauty. This color seems divine. I purchased a bag from Anya Hindmarch some years ago in a similar color and I wore it out. It just went well with everything.

Mmmmmm. This looks lovely. A real power bag, but not stuffy. I am putting this on the list. Would love to wear it into the board room.

This could be the SF classic bag. It surely is timeless, yet so chic. But in some other color for me.
