Better with longer straps and less structured looking; large, hand held bags look so uptight and are so inconvenient when you need both hands for something! I think they were first designed when men held open doors and pulled out your chair for you. When, inevitably (due to the complete lack of chivalry these days! lol!), you are forced to shove the bag onto your shoulder – you are then stuck with a bulky bag thrust up under your armpit, or sticking out of your shoulder blade, like some sort of mutated wing.
