Purse Blog: When will the Matinee come back?
Rebecca Minkoff: I actually have a few in my office, but it will ship to people in April. For the holidays we will do a few special orders.
PB: Are there going to be any changes to the Matinee bag?
RM: No, it will remain exactly the same.
PB: Ok, and what about the basket weave? Will there be other colors?
RM: Just black and the cream. People really responded to the cream.
PB: After the holiday season, will there be more Morning After clutches?
RM: Oh yes, we have them all over the spring line. Ostrich for Feb and then in all the classic colors for March, and we will have it in fluorescence.
PB: Is the faux ostrich new?
RM: Oh it is…
PB: Oh right – we posted about it not that long ago. Are you going to do any other man bags?
RM: We have a laptop bag in blue and brown. So you could put your laptop in it or use it as a bag – in more masculine colors.
PB: Will you ever be brave enough to have another online sample sale?
RM: At the moment, I don’t think our site can handle it. It was fun, yet intense. Actually, we are going to do a couple different sales with Gilt Groupe and Hautelook.
PB: Will you ever bring back the popular Basket Weave Mini?
RM: Yes, actually in January – it is coming back.
PB: Many people have asked us about your wedding. Is there anything you’d like to share?
RM: We are going to get married sometime in June of next year, probably in Italy. It is going to be small, our immediate families and then just a few of our closest friends.
PB: Did you pick your dress yet?
RM: Haha, no. I might make it – just not sure yet. Maybe I’ll use some of my contacts to find something.
