PurseForum Roundup – August 23

Welcome to our last PurseForum Roundup of August! The PurseBlog staff is taking a little holiday next week and will have special content every day for your reading pleasure, but look for us right back here in September. This week, we took in the sights in the Jewelry Box, Home and Garden, and of course The Kitchen. We also have some reveals from Louis Vuitton to accompany our sightseeing, so come on along!

Cartier Love Bracelet

In the Jewelry Box, there was a lot of talk about the Cartier Love Bracelet this week, so we decided to pop in and see how our member style this classic and iconic bangle. We loved Lvoeletters’ terrific combination of her Cartier Love and Tiffany Atlas bracelets. Annika08 had a similar idea and added an Hermès Clic Clac, too! And is that a Lindy we spy in the background? (Yes!) We also saw that the Evil Eye thread continues to showcase a variety of pieces featuring this ancient theme. Also in the Jewelry Box, XiangXiang0731 is looking for input on a new purchase, and Ananson0306 is wondering about selecting an everyday bracelet. P.S. We choose both!

Cat Figurine

In the General Shopping subforum, myriad threads are brimming with bargains, but none as much as the Cheap Treasures thread. We caught up with the latest summer purchases, including the charming and unexpected 1960s Tonala cat that LisaK026 picked up earlier this month. Lazlo8 grabbed some amazing (really amazing) designer deals, including a fantastic Dior jacket in a perfect shade of red. She also scored this show-stopping vintage peignoir set that we found absolutely dreamy.

Elsewhere in General Shopping, the Nordstrom Rack thread is full of fabulous finds this month, and the Jimmy Choos HauteRN found just have to be the steal of the week! We need to sign up some of the denizens of this thread as our new shopping buddies! Other bargain threads in this subforum are seeing a lot of action this week, including Neiman Marcus and TJMaxx. We think it is no exaggeration to suggest that it is worth your while to stop by today and see what our PurseForum smart shoppers have been up to!

Bedroom and Hermes

Over in Home and Garden, we continue to enjoy ladysarah’s ongoing portfolio of fantastic design inspirations. We are sure you will find inspiration as well, such as this beautiful breezy bedroom full of light and fresh air. The Home and Garden subforum really does have something for everyone – for example, our members have been sharing their varied ideas on candles and scents, and we really are looking forward to trying some of our members’ favorites.

Everyone loves a gallery of kitchens, and we have a great one in our special Kitchen Showcase thread, full of gorgeous kitchens shared by our members. And don’t leave the “H&G” subforum without dropping by the newest home decor purchases thread, too, where you must have a look at Pollie-Jean’s wonderful new lamp! Home and Garden is a great stop for getting creative ideas you can use inside and out – we never leave without a fresh idea to try at home, and we hope you will feel the same.

Salmon Dinner

Speaking of the Kitchen, Roundup regulars know what is next: A visit to the “I Ate This” thread in The Kitchen subforum. We shamelessly admit that this is a required stop on our weekly tour of the PurseForum. We caught up with this thread and it worked its culinary magic on us as usual. This week, new contributor viivz wowed us with a delectable salmon dish, while incredibly creative and talented Blyen made a sweet and charming birthday cake that is chocolate on the inside and fabulous on the outside! Regular contributor GoGlam posted a tantalizing array of thirst-quenching treats from Paris, perfect for a late summer evening. Check out all these and more in this incredibly fulfilling thread – we think you will thank us!

Louis Vuitton Collage

This week, the Louis Vuitton subforum was particularly active on the PurseForum. Roundup readers know that the words “instant reveal” always catch our eye (though we love a teasing reveal just as much), and this week, we found a very special one in LV. Shoebaglady found a jewel of a vintage bag to add to her collection, along with a couple of choice accessories that she was happy to share with an appreciative audience. And how cute is this sweet charm that forespec, finally found with the help of a diligent Sales Associate! AnotherHandbag tumbled right off the “banned wagon” and shared this reveal just as we went to press, and AlexLvoer got a very sweet scarf and bag to end the summer shopping season.

We hope you enjoyed the Roundup. Look for us back in two weeks, with more of the interesting and incredibly varied conversations going on in the PurseForum each and every day. Savor these days of summer, dear friends, and see you soon!
