Prada-Camouflage-Soft-Saffiano-Tote

We’re in the last phase of the biggest shopping weekend (long weekend? week?) of the year, and despite the fact that designer sales have traditionally taken place in December, the past few years have seen the sale season creep forward to coincide with the Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping orgy in which the rest of the consumer market partakes. Odds are, you bought something in the past few days, and we want to know what it is and which sales have been your favorites.

As of this writing, the only thing I’ve purchased was a Shinola watch that I’ve been stalking for a few weeks now, and it wasn’t even on sale, so I failed at Black Friday pretty hard. Just before closing at one of Prada’s Manhattan stores last night, though, I came across the Prada camo tote that I’ve been obsessed with for months, 40% off, only one left. I’m currently in the midst of an existential crisis over whether to buy it or wait out the rest of the season and see what else might come my way, but I fear that if I don’t, I’ll have a terrible case of non-buyer’s remorse.

Did you brave the crowds in-store this weekend, shop online or both? Let us know where you went, what you saw and what you added to your closet in the comments!

I went pretty nuts this Black Friday/Cyber Monday! My sale purchases started early actually, on Wednesday when I picked up the Valentino Lockstud Biker Boots I pre-saled at Nordstroms (still waiting for my Lanvin Ballet flats to be marked down this week!) Of course, while I was there I had to check out the newest markdowns and did some serious damage with Rag & Bone clothing! Against my better judgment, I ended up at WalMart on Thanksgiving night and brought home a $500 touchscreen laptop that I scored for $170 & a new Air Printer! Having done so much damage before Black Friday officially began, I only made one purchase on Friday, from Saks – a Maroon Loeffler Randall bag for $230! I thought I was done but oh no I wasn’t – over the weekend, one of my favorite blogs provided me with a coupon code from The Corner (additional 20% off already reduced prices!), where I purchased a Reed a Krakoff Mini Atlantique for $600! I haven’t really splurged like this in a while and its been more than 6 months since I purchased a new handbag, so I guess you could say I made up for lost time! If I have some time within the next few days, maybe I’ll do an official “reveal” over on tPF!
