Proenza Schouler PS11, $1,555 via Net-A-Porter

Last week I used “Argh” in place of “Are” in a post title and this week I am using “Orange” in place of “Aren’t”. My past English professors must be jumping for joy over my clever titles. But this title needed the play on words because I am seriously pining over this fall color-blocked version of the highly coveted Proenza Schouler PS11.

You will hear my endless love for fall in the upcoming months. It’s by far my favorite time of year as I love the leaves changing, temperatures dropping, crisp air, pumpkins, Halloween, apples, football and everything in between. To satisfy my love of fall, Proenza Schouler revamped its PS11 in a very autumn color family, including orange, rust and merlot textured leather.

All I want to do is own this bag, sip pumpkin spice lattes, eat warm apple pies, and go play in big piles of colorful leaves. Is that too much to ask? I only wear brown hues during the fall and this bag would work so beautifully with a pair of brown leather boots and the perfect camel colored coat. Why must I be on a self-imposed bag ban at a time like this? Buy via Net-A-Porter for $1,555.

LOVE IT! i think its the perfect bag for fall. the colors are soo beautiful. i’ve been dying to find an orange/burnt orange bag for the fall, too bad this is way above what i can afford right now =T

Looks like a great bag, but my recent experience with hardware on PS bags will keep me admiring this from afar rather than purchasing. (Rivets on my brand new PS1 spontaneously broke and sprung off. Unlike other luxury bag brands, PS does not offer a repair service, so replacing them identically is next to impossible.)

Also interestingly, the orange PS11’s decorative doodad to the right of the clasp hardware in the photo looks like it’s been attached too low and at a slight angle. (Compare to other PS11 images by clicking on the brand link). I think the brand is not keeping up with quality as it cranks out zillions of four-figure handbags.

Completely agree! I want to love this… had my hands on one during a recent trip to Barneys NY… the quality was just not there… bought another Goyard tote instead. I was looking at Fendi today – from now on, until you pass the century of quality mark, you are not getting my $1,000 + for a bag. period.
