Am I the only one that immediately thinks of Anchorman when I hear of a dog named Baxter? Ok, so maybe you did not like the movie, maybe you did not see it, but those of you that did will understand how hard it is to hear Baxter and not think of Will Ferrell’s trusty dog. I could not see Will carrying Baxter around in a pet carrier, but I know many people love to keep their pets with them at all times. Jessica Simpson has been one of the leading ladies seen carrying her pup Daisy in Louis Vuitton dog carrier. Now there is a new version released by Louis Vuitton, the Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Sac Baxter PM which is designed with monogram canvas and trimmed with natural cowhide. This dog carrier looks more like a handbag from the front, sporting a flapped pouch pocket with polished golden brass hardware. The side panel unzips, folds over, and secures with snaps to give the perfect luxury room away from home for your pet. Measurements are 13.8″x 10.4″x 6.5″. I have only had one dog in my life, and he is a black lab who can not fit in a dog carrier. I am not sure that if I had a small dog I would take him/her around with me everywhere, but this is a great option for the owner who loves luxury and their pup. Buy through eLuxury for $1360.

This is so cute it ALMOST makes me want a little dog.
I saw this bag in the boutique. It is perfect but for 1 thing: you can’t close it entirely (at the top), hence useless for traveling on a plane
why can’t they just make 1 perfect one?!!
The one they have that does close, can’t be carried on the shoulder, arghhhh

I have been going back and forth between the GM and PM for my seven pound pup. What I love about this bag is unlike Gucci’s dog carrier, LV added pockets to their version. I have the Gucci carrier and when I run errands with my pup the last thing I want is to carry him in his bag AND my purse for my keys, phone, and wallet. This side pocket day carrier is a dream come true.
Roxana, if you need a good dog carrier for the plane I have found the best ones are sold at Petco or Petsmart. While the designer bags look gorgeous (and make us owners look good) neither Gucci nor LV have been able to create an airline approved bag with enough air vents for my liking. My dog travels up to three hours in the cabin and needs to have vents at the top and both sides (not just one like Gucci or LV). I hope they revisit the design of their airline-approved bags. If they ever do, I’ll be first in line.

and I cannot wait for it to arrive. I like the fact that it has the added pockets for my personal belongings. I was all set to order the Gucci carrier, but I was faced with having to carry an additional bag for my belonging which made me reconsider. I love the fact that it has shoulder straps and it doesn’t look like the older design. Great job LV!!!
