Whenever I see an intense cobalt blue bag, I am in love. If someone asked my favorite color, I would explain to them that a very vibrant and bold electric blue always gets me. That is why tracking down the perfect Celine Mini Luggage Tote was one of my biggest accomplishments in the handbag world to date.

When I opened up Net-A-Porter.com today, I got that same feeling of joy upon seeing another pretty blue bag. But this is not a Celine bag, it is an Alexander McQueen bag. To further my love, the Alexander McQueen Cites Chanter Hobo Bag is designed with supple matte python skin which is my favorite way to see the skin used. DROOL.

Rachel Zoe Project: If he wanted to buy me Graff diamonds, itd be ok. The Rachel Zoe Project 200x138It’s time for the last round in my post-Fashion Week apology tour: Y’all, I’m sorry I missed last week’s episode of The Rachel Zoe Project. At that point in my Fashion Week, I had been rendered completely unable to think thoughts or feel feelings, so any recap I would have written would have consisted of me whimpering for someone to bring me a Diet Coke.

Not that my everyday life doesn’t consist mostly of that, because it does, but you probably don’t want to read that in a recap. So here we have your regularly scheduled fashion shenanigans, complete with a Kardashian in her underwear. If that doesn’t entice you, I don’t know what can. (Seriously, the Internet seems to have proven that’s the most enticing thing ever.)

Fashion Week Handbags: Theyskens Theory Spring 2012 Theyskens Theory 5Images via Vogue.com

We didn’t talk much about the maiden voyage of the Theyskens’ Theory handbag line, mostly because there was so much buzz and discussion around the clothes themselves that the shoes and accessories got a bit lost in the grand shuffle. Now that we’re on to the second season of the brilliant Olivier Theyskens’ residence at Theory, we can get down to the nitty gritty. Namely, Theyskens’ Theory Spring 2012 handbags.

As Chioma Nnadi said in her Vogue.com review of the ready-to-wear collection, Theyskens has done well to zone in on the street uniform of his new home of New York City and make that the basis of his collection. That also holds true for the line’s handbags; the smallish, structured crossbodies are a mainstay of cool New York girls, and mixing in a few shoulder totes and backpacks gives the collection just enough variety. The price points for Theyskens’ Theory are good, so if you see something you like, you should definitely add it to your mental list for spring.

Fill in the Blank: The Bottega Veneta Leather Leaf Clutch is... Bottega Veneta Leather Leaf Clutch Bottega Veneta Leather Leaf Clutch, $3380 via Net-A-Porter

We all know that Bottega Veneta masters the art of intricate leatherwork. However, there may be a time when the beauty that is created is simply not necessary and the Bottega Veneta Leather Leaf Clutch may be one of those times.

Don’t get me wrong, this bag is eye-catching with its interesting leather leaf detail over the entire outside of the hard box clutch. But I wonder the practicality of this item and on top of that the price reaches the high end of the scale. So I am turning to you to have you tell us what you think of this designer clutch. Buy via Net-A-Porter for $3,380.

Fashion Week Handbags: Burberry Spring 2012 Burberry 16Images via Vogue.com

Burberry and I have an odd relationship. I find myself lusting after the brand’s ready-to-wear and outerwear every season without fail, and often its boots as well, but my feelings about the British brand’s bags are often a tad…fraught. I can honestly say, though, that there’s not a single bag from Burberry Spring 2012 that I wouldn’t carry.

Perhaps the biggest surprise from the collection was how little leather it included. In fact, only a few of the woven clutches were entirely leather and a couple of the larger totes were suede and croc (be it real or faux, I’m not sure), but the overwhelming majoring were woven raffia with croc trim. That’s something of a departure for the brand, and the resulting totes and clutches felt on-trend (expect to see lots of raffia for spring) and modern. Particularly the fun little clutches, which may have a rather small retail audience but which I’d be delighted to carry to any summer party.

Oscar de la Renta Spring 2012 Oscar de la Renta SS 2012 97 600x799

YOU GUYS, Oscar de la Renta is THE man. He may be one of many men, but he is also THE man. Vlad and I had the pleasure of attending his Spring 2012 runway show last week starting with behind the scenes access. Oscar does not merely put on a show, he puts on a production that is meticulously planned with each and every detail overseen by Oscar himself.

The Spring 2012 show sent another stunning collection down the runway in front of every major editor and a star-studded crowd, including Justin Timberlake, Nicki Minaj, Ashley Olsen, Valentino, Barbara Walters, and more. As with every Oscar show, when the lights popped on and the music began (Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd, I kid you not) we were transported to a completely different world. Amazing full skirts, embroidered gowns and the most covetable accessories I have ever seen Oscar de la Renta create sashayed down the runway.

This collection needs no words, it simply needs your eyes to look over our exclusive images that Vlad photographed to show you the beauty that we saw. Because sometimes, words can not describe utter fashion genius properly.

RHBH: Right now Ive got a suit of aluminum. Not so good. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills 200x138So, again, apologies. Fashion Week chewed me up and spit me out. Fashion Week rode me hard and put me away wet. I’m still recovering, and the only things that seem to accurately explain what happened and why there was no Real Housewives of Beverly Hills recap last week are cliches. I have no more original thoughts.

Well, I have a few more, but they’re mostly contained in the recap that follows, so I’ll leave you to encounter those later. As you might imagine, though, this episode wasn’t exactly full of laugh-y times, so the recap might be a little dour when compared to most others. I did what I could.

Let's be best friends.
