I need more Salvatore Ferragamo bags in my life. This is a brand that flies under the radar but produces bags that are drool-worthy time after time. This time we are mentioning a classic bag from Ferragamo that was seen on Jessica Simpson back in 2005 in bright green. An aside, but is it not hilarious to read a post from 2005 that is talking about Newlyweds? Time changes many times.

Onward. The Salvatore Ferragamo Safari Calfskin Shoulder Bag is lux, classic, and relatively affordable. I have this bag in white and I can tell you personally that it is a timeless design made with high quality materials. The calfskin is textured to give a sophisticated finish.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Benny Satchel Marc by Marc Jacobs1 200x1931I know, I know, anything from Marc by Marc Jacobs‘ elder Totally Turnlock line is a blast from the past by now, or at least to those acclimated to the quickness of fashion seasons. But why not revisit a relic? I personally still carry my Totally Turnlock metallic over-the-shoulder bag from the first-ever Totally Turnlock collection.

One of my best pals has purchased this Marc by Marc Jacobs Totally Turnlock Benny Satchel in black, a color rarely seen among his newest line of bright purple, screaming turquoise, and pumpkin orange bags. But really, the neutral color is a refresher that lets the supple quality of the leather stand out. Plus, it provides a nice contrast to the shiny gold hardware that’s dispersed in minimalist fashion throughout the satchel.

Ok I think I might have found it. It is almost plausible that my hunt for the perfect Balenciaga bag may be over. You all might be getting sick of me talking about my quest for my first Balenciaga bag, but truly, with so many options and such a focus on different colors for each season, how can someone make a choice? I kept asking myself do I go for a bold bright color or do I go classic? Do I go giant hardware or regular? Do I go for an old season bag or new?

I have read countless threads on the PurseForum about Balenciaga bags. In fact, at one time I had done so much research that I clearly over-researched. Some of the older seasons are said to have better leathers. And some of the older seasons have colors that are highly coveted. Actually the more I write this post the more I find myself falling off track and starting my entire quest again. So let me wrap this up so I can finally move on!

Ladies and gents, I need you to weigh in here. I cannot decide whether or not this Yves Saint Laurent handbag is genius or simply not enough for what you are paying for.

Yves Saint Laurent is one of those brands, one of those brands that is almost always worth a second look. This is the case because the first look might take you in the wrong direction, but the second look, the second look could reveal sheer genius. While I want that to be the case here, I just don’t think that is the case.

I never really went out of my way for messenger bags. They just never did anything special for me. Then, Anna started working with us and began picking out and writing about some fabulous messenger bags. As I read about these bags, I couldn’t help but see a shift in my interest. While I still don’t go completely out of my way, I definitely stop and do a double take from time to time. This Tano Muse Enthused Messenger Bag is one of those messenger bags that grabbed my attention and made me think about it a bit more.

Vanessa Bruno Un Tote

One of my fashionista friends has frequently said that you can tell a true hipster from a not-so-true hipster by peeking at his or her bag. The rules are as follows: if the bag is genuinely worn and old, the hipster is truly hipster. If the bag is actually new, probably designer, but means to look vintage, then the wearer is not a genuine hipster (extra points for head-to-toe American Apparel). Now, I don’t mean to insult hipsters at all, but this Vanessa Bruno Un Tote immediately made me think of my friend’s rule.

For a while I was vehemently opposed to tiny bags with long straps. Let me clarify, I am opposed to them for me. Being 5’10 and not a waif, the thought of an extremely small bag dangling at my side seemed absurd (similar to how many petite women find oversized bags silly on their bodies). So riddle me this, today I am digging an entirely small bodied bag WITH logos and a rainbow tassel. Who am I and what have I done with my other self?

Let's be best friends.
